- In this video, I'll be showing you how to dye your rainbow high dolls hair! This is a custom dye job that requires a little bit of preparation, but it's well worth it in the end!

As someone who dyes doll hair and has done basically their whole collection in dyed customs here’s a few tips!
1. If you leave her in there for too long or use a lot of dye or multiple colors you will have to wash her a few times to get the excess dye off !!
2. Always make sure to rinse her under cold water every few minutes that way it takes off the excess dye and then dip her back in the dye that will help you not having to wash her hair so many times! It will also help with the dye not staining her skin
3. If you’re worried about stained sinks counters use a stainless steel sink that wont be affected by the dye if it’s uncomfortable for you bc that’s where you wash dishes etc you can use a stainless steel bowl inside of the sink so that’ way the doll isn’t directly in the sink .
4. If you want a pastel or neutral color use a little bit of dye and more water, for a brighter richer color vinegar and more dye is needed

Goddess braids look fabulous. You could name her Hera or Venus or Aphrodite after Greek goddesses. The hair color actually looked great with the skin tone and her new lip color. I think it’s more complimentary than a deeper brunette would have been. It’s fun to experiment with new colors, hues and textures. Her final look is befitting a goddess. 👍🏻🌹👍🏻

I found when using the “slicker brush” on wet hair it can easily take out tinsel. That can be a good thing if that’s your goal. 😊
She looks amazing with her new hair and outfit! I of course had to check the description for clothes details, especially because her dress looks like a green version of the Paris Hilton dress.
I love how she came out! A quick tip if you want to stop the dye from running and potentially staining other things, rinse the hair in cold water after you're finished dyeing it. You also might want to use Rit Dye More because it's specifically meant for synthetics. Can't wait for Thursday's video!

Yup. The black and dark brown rit dye does have green under tones. I tried dying my dolls hair black and brown but it turned out green 😢🥲

Incredibly Gorgeous! Honestly seeing that whole process really made me want to see what some RH dolls would look like dip dyed, also makes me really want to take my shot restyling my Sabrina's hair but I'm terrified of irreparably fucking something up. And for Miss Girl's new name...I'm thinking something like a "Fianna" or maybe an "Kara" fits her new vibe the most.

You can also water down the paint a lil bit to thin the paint down. So it’s not so thick and bulky
I second this, except air brush medium is a better thinning agent for acrylics than water.

Okay wait so let me totally get myself this straight, i do really basically needed myself to have hot boiling water or at least hot water in order to dye their own hair or else the process won't either work ?. Sorry my first time too as well of doing this so i need to know 😅😂
