Love it. Awesome video. Even if I never make my own reeds, I think it's valuable to know how they're made. I'm looking forward to the next video. Thanks so much for doing this. I know it takes thought and planning to put these things together, and I for one really appreciate what you've done here.
In your last video, I didn’t see the string wrapped so high on the cane. Is there a reason I should wrap the cane as high as you did in this video or should I follow the last video?
Once they have mold, I personally wouldn’t want to play on them anymore. Make sure that whatever way that you’re storing your reeds that there’s air ventilation such as holes in your reed case.
I’m not super picky about how far up the blade it needs to be wrapped personally so some of my mummies differ a bit. Just be careful that the further you wrap towards the tip, to pull the least tight (most tight should be around the collar). Good question!
@@ACE_0839 any length of time! Some people like their mummies to sit for months before they finish them to give the cane lots of time to settle. You can experiment with different lengths of time to see what might work best for you

Any idea when the last video on this will be made?
😬 sometime in the future! Feel free to reach out to me if you have questions in the meantime.
I’m pretty dumb and forget to let my reeds dry after playing
so how do you clean reeds with mold?
