- The Flash 3x17 "Behind The Songs" Season 3 Episode 17 Featurette - DARREN CRISS (“GLEE”) GUEST STARS AS THE MUSIC MEISTER IN THE FLASH AND SUPERGIRL MUSICAL CROSSOVER - Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon-El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing (#317). Original airdate 3/21/2017. propably cause it had nothing to do with any of the storyline in the savitar arc, like u can just skip the ep and u wouldnt even noticed (I did and i had no idea this shit existed till 1 week ago lol)

this is what happens when you cast Glee alums to play superheroes. but I have to say, it was pretty good. I enjoyed it. even the cheesy and lame scenes. the whole package was quite entertaining. good job, CW!

This episode wasn't bad. I mean you gotta admire the great voices they had when they performed. That being said im good with this happening 1x every few years, it was a little out there but some change is good from time to time.

I think it was great to show off the musical talent of the cast. I honestly wish I could hear them all sing more but musicals are a little out of place in the Flash universe

This episode was so amazing! Of course, the cheese factor was high, but I'm willing to suspend my credibility when it's this much fun. It's ridiculous to have a cast that sings this well, and we never hear sing. There are some big talents on these shows-- pretty incredible. When Barry sings "Running Home to You", it was one of the most romantic things I have ever seen on television. I literally cried, and I don't usually do that. Thanks to the writers and cast for thinking outside the box. They never cease to amaze me!

idt ppl get that these shows aren't just about having super powers and fighting bad guys but like.. these characters actually have a life and relationships and feelings, so I think it was really good that they used this episode to mend the brokenness between Karamel and Biris. loved this crossover

Before I knew it was going to be a dream world, I was hoping there would be a scene where everyone is singing in star labs and oliver walks in, saying something like I need your help, he sees everyone singing, and then he turns around and walks away

Did anyone notice that in Put a Little Love in Your Heart, some of the dance moves were from Glee. Does anyone know where?
I'm pretty sure there were some Warbler moves going on there, and I loved seeing Grant/Barry mimicking them.
It would explain how Darren looked so natural when dancing and how Grant knew the moves. I just assumed they had done the take so many times that Grant doing a little dance was unscripted and based on watching them perform

I love they did a musical episode, this episode is literally already going down in history. As soon as I saw Darren, Grant and Melissa in the same episode I was like GLEE! then everyone started singing and dancing I was like GLEE! I love that they listened to the fans and did a musical crossover episode and featured the cast singing with their own amazing voices from the 4 shows :) Reminds me of the cast of Pretty Little Liars the fans begged for a special singing episode and never really got, so glad Flash/Super Girl/Legends got one :)

Running home to you has a REALLY similar tune to it. I've defiantly heard it before. I know that the "all" part of "all i want to do" sounds kinda like John Legend's All of Me. Idk I CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON IT WHAT SONG SOUNDS SO MUCH LIKE THIS ONE AND IT IS KILLING ME.
They need to do a 2nd MUSICAL EPISODE!!
