The marble in the Ramune is an old style called a Codd-neck bottle, actually invented in the UK in the 19th Century. When it came to Japan the word Lemonade became bastardized as Ramune. And yeah, those divets are to keep the marble from stopping up the opening. ;) But those Cheetos are actually Korean ---I got sent some not long ago too and yeah, they were super sweet
The sunchips are the exact same color and look as the harvest cheddar sunchips because they are my absolute favorite chips to eat! I can't live without them lol
Fava beans and chickpeas are two different things. Fava beans (Vicia faba) are sometimes called broad beans, and are big and sort of flat. Chickpeas (Cicer arietinum), AKA garbanzo beans are small and round. Their flavors are very different from each other. Fava beans are especially good with liver and a nice Chianti.
@@ThisWithThem It's from Silence of the Lambs, a movie from..the eighties, I think? Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster. I never saw it, because horror movies are SO not my thing, but that line gets quoted a LOT
You can remember favs beans by remembering the line from “Silence of the Lambs”… “ I ate his liver with some favs beans and a nice Chianti”!!!! Ha ha! They are different from chickpeas. You use chickpeas for hummus! Love your show!
In NYC, there is a restaurant called Serendipity 3 and they are famous for their Frozen Hot Chocolate. It's the hot chocolate mix but blended with ice. It is unbelievably delicious!!
Y'all should watch the any of the British mudlarks. One of their bucket list items are Codd bottles. They were introduced in 1872 in London by Hiram Codd. I have a small kitchen and no pantry, but I have a “she-shed” for my crafts which acts as my pantry. I put my canned and dry goods there so I can stock up. I’m not near a supermarket so I only shop monthly (mostly). We have a big fridge, though, plus a full size freezer in my laundry room. Pepperoni in (pepper-on-CHI-nee) are a pickled yellow pepper, mildly spicy, that I love on sandwiches.
Hi Kate and Alex, Another great box! I love the brand Kettle Chips. I have been to an H Mart. I may need to go again to try these snacks. Thank you for sharing new snacks with us. Have a great week.
@@ThisWithThem Have you seen recipes for Mississippi Pot Roast or Mississippi Chicken done in a crock pot with Ranch dressing powder, a stick of butter and green chili's with juice from the jar? Pepperoncini are those green chili's they use.
in the US we eat Peperoncinis peppers (not hot at all but are pickled;some people may think they are hot) with deli sandwiches; they are usually served on the side with a pickle spear or minced and put in your sandwich : ) Cheers
Ever wondered why there is a marble inside a bottle of Ramune? The design of Ramune bottles is what makes it unique. ... The bottles, made of glass, have a codd neck and the purpose of the marble is to hold in the carbonation. In the olden days, there were no other alternatives to keep your drink fizzy.Sep 13, 2018
The marble keeps the carbonation in even after opened. I buy big bags of chips and keep in airtight containers they keep a long time even in high humidity.
So the crisp flavours cater for different flavour profiles, it all depends on the market and what will do well. I work for a spice company that supplies seasonings to different companies.
Number 3!!!! I always get so excited to see what you guys are gonna try, even though I sent the box 🤣 so glad you enjoyed everything! Every week I go to H-Mart and get sooo sad when I still don’t see any peach Ramune. They’ve been out of almost all flavors for a bit now. We’ve tried some other drinks that just aren’t the same. And I really did try and find a smaller bag of the sun chips 🤣 but that flavor is only sold at Costco in that size bag here. And I knew how much you guys have loved the Harvest cheddar and garden salsa and knew you had to try these ones! I eat those and the pepperoncini chips with sandwiches. Oh! Kiddos love frozen hot chocolates from Dairy Queen! So that made me giggle when you brought those up! I’ve never gotten them, but my youngest siblings did when they were little. I was a blizzard fan, but I got mine with chocolate soft serve 😋 PLEASE wish Alex a very Happy Birthday tomorrow! So thankful to know you, and wishing just the most beautiful new year to come his way. Hope he has such a wonderful weekend celebrating! Its NOT weird at all !!! Thats why we all love watching them ( other than their awesome personalities ) and also why they inspired me to start my own taste testing and food reviews channel !!!
PLEASE take us to Costco. I’m such a big Costco fan but I’ve only ever seen inside 4 and they were all in the Midwest US.
Have you been to Sam's? That's what we have in the South MS and neighboring states, tho my sisters have Costco in GA. Hmmm
This was another awesome video :) Thank You :) That Peko wafer kinda reminded me of smaller KitKat fingers LOL
Thank you!! Yes!! Very different in taste and texture though!
Click peas here in the USA are also known as Chi-chi beans and Garbanzo beans. Fava beans are very much a different bean.
Chi-Chi beans!! Such a cute name for them!
Chi chi means breasts in Italian that's what my Italian born grandpa called them too.
Yikes! That darn autocorrect. I meant to type 'chick' peas not 'click' peas.
My family loves those skittle packets
Growing up everybody called what you refer to as chickpeas, as garbonzo beans. I hate garbonzo beans. Yuk! Lol. Yes, you should do a drink packet video, so we can see what flavors you like, and which ones you'd toss in the trash! Lol
Chick peas come in cans and are very good. Fava beans are what Dr Lector had with the guys brain's. They are large
They are called "Harvest Cheddar." My favorite are the "Garden Salsa." 😁 Haven't had the "Zesty Queso." My son keep pointing out the jalapeño popper flavored Goldfish. He wants to try them, and I refuse. Lol
18:17 cosmo and wanda think they're so slick
You probably tried the harvest cheddar sun chips
Yall should get the Google translate app. You can point the camera at a package and it will translate the wording into English. :)
The Sun Chips flavor you’re thinking of is called Harvest Cheddar
That's the one! Thanks for that 😁
Hi Kate and Alex 🍪🍭🍬🍫🫖🇯🇵
Hi Little Debbie 🍊🍫
Hey Helena!! Little Debbie says hi back 😊😊❤
I love chickpeas.... We call them both in the US depends on where you go
I see!! Thanks May
@@ThisWithThem You guys are so awesome to be able to just be so open to learn more about different cultures and countries and especially when you guys talk about things here in the US and wondering what and where we have things or what we like I just really appreciate your videos. Definitely helped today being able to listen to you guys be silly and banter with each other during work
Pepperonicini are pickled though. Thats why they were vinegarish.
Where can I send goodies for you guys?
If you drop us an email or an instagram dm i can give you our address!! Thank you so much for wanting to send us a box ❤❤
You can mix it with sour cream and milk.
Pepperoncini is pronounced as "Pepper-on-shee-knee"
By the way the cheetos were Korean not Japanese. The flavors are (orange bag) Smokey BBQ and sweet and spicy (black bag)
Also Hmart is a Korean grocery store but does contain other Asian food like those Japanese ramune sodas.
Thank you for writing out how it should be said!
Ohh thank you for letting us know.
That is so cool! Wish we had H Mart here
I got something in the mail from England cool
Those Cheetos looked soooo good !!! Wish we had them here so I could try them in my taste testing videos !!!!
Hopefully one day you can try them as they're so good!!
Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips
A frozen hot chocolate. It’s like a Frappuccino but tastes like a hot chocolate lol
Mmm yum!!!
Yes chickpeas are called garbanzo beans, but most Americans (I think) say chick peas 😊
Fava beans and Gorbonzo beans are completely DIFFERENT
Gorbonzo beans and chickpeas are the same thing. And yes we have then in the States
Also Harvest Cheddar are the Sun Chips you tried
My dad used to break the bottle after we drank it so that we could have the marble play with.
