    Hi Joe ❤
This book is sad, they were so poor.
I was a teacher and I would go into school early and feed the children that were hungry. I'd give them breakfast.
Thank you for reading and performing for us Joe ❤

That happened to my mother who graduated in 1936 from ECTC teachers college in Greenville NC. They got no certificates and no money. She said back then you didn't ask for money because there was none. She lived on a farm, and had enough food to get by. My mother always said, people today have no idea how it was. There were bread lines just to get enough for a day or 2. But to show you how the strong survive she died in 2019 at the age of 103. So at 80 I am just beginning Ha. Thanks 😍

oh no Joe this is very interesting I want to hear about his mom and dad and how things were.
We hear all about Elvis and his relationships all the time not much about his parents and grandparents so I want to hear it all.
I have watched many videos on where he lived I've seen the homes the shotgun and project home I saw the stream he swam in as a boy it's all how Elvis became the man he was and it all fascinates me to me his life was so much more then movies and stage shows alone

I was also very poor, so that 45 meant the world to me! I so enjoyed you singing it, you really do that song beautifully, would you sing it on your other channel please 🙏🏼 if you haven’t already…. No marker for babies was not unusual in those days. Remember, many more babies died at birth or within the first day. Also, in the middle of the great depression there was no money for markers...not even a casket. He was in a dresser drawer until one of the men in the church provided a simple wooden box and one of the women provided a homemade quilt to wrap him in. They buried him the next day. I have been to the cemetery. There is a space among other family members' graves, that is believed to be the place Jesse rests. Vernon, Gladys, and Elvis knew where he was because they visited him down through the years. After Gladys' body was moved to Graceland, Elvis wanted to have Jesse brought there, too. But there was nothing remaining in the spot where he was buried. Remember, a wooden box, cloth quilt, a small infant whose bones were still mostly cartilage, not made solid yet, would have completely returned to dust...just as it is written in the Bible. (Judy C)

Jesse was born alive, but only lasted a very short time. I have heard from those who knew the Presley's that they believed Jesse was breach and simply took too long to be delivered. The doctor was not with Gladys from the beginning of her labor. He was sent for by the midwife only after many hours of intense labor without making any progress toward delivery. (Judy C)

Also, the thought about Gladys having pre-eclampsia - that is not uncommon among pregnant women and the problem with her legs being swollen goes right along with the pre-eclampsia.That is a precursor to high blood pressure.🎉BS
