Miss this video but congrats to my Hmong brother on winning them baits! Hey Grey loved your channel and thank for all the awesome videos. Stay safe out there bro :)
Way to go new someone had to win greg thinking about making a youtube vid channel it's close to my birthday and I am probably getting the Vibe Shearwater 123 peadle drive maybe if I get famous we can fish a tournament the lake I am near has a tournament every Tuesday
I'm in Oregon, and sierra nevada distributes here! They're one of my favorite breweries. That hazy IPA he has there I have in my fridge currently. Greg knows his stuff, not just angling. Tight lines.
Cool combos Greg. As usual, I am drinking my morning coffee from my " Thank ya' sir" mug and watching your latest video. It would be awesome if you could do a tutorial on how you skip cast baits while seated in your yak. It's something I am trying to get better at myself. Spinning rod is no problem but like the G man says "my wife can do that", but bait caster……… Keep up the good work.
@@yakangler419 Yeah, the roll cast seated in a kayak should be re-named the "smack slap back lash cast. Cause lots of times I smack the water beside the yak and instant back lash lol.
I'd love to see a video on this from Greg also and get more perspective than just G-man's, even though he's ridiculous at it. Greg's so humble that he won't ever say or think it, but he's really, really good at it too.
The thing I like about your content is you always let us know what lure you use! Color/size and the way you fish it. Not too many channels display/provide a photo of the lure they use which a lot of subscribers actually want to see.
Great selection of Combo Rigs, Greg. Like you said about the rods: Want distance - go Long...Want precise - go short. I learn something NEW, every time I watch your Videos. Thanks...
There are alot of rod arsenal videos out there but this one was extremely helpful. - rods match the types of presentation s - reels consistent so to eliminate any changing in the casting mechanics - a hammer only needs 5 rods on his kayak Thanks Greg
Greg, there is a traveling tackle box going around to some of my favorite RUclips anglers like *@Firststatefishing* and @kickintheirbasstv.I suggested that they send it to you. I think it would be fun to see you hookup on that challenge. “Thank ya sir”
Bro, go with the side what your most comfortable with while your fishing. Unless your like Greg, who can fishes both side :) Good luck and have fun. Hope this helps.
I just found your channel about 5-6 months ago. Since then I’ve watched every one of your videos. I love the style of your videos. Nothing super flashy or clickbaity. Just straight up fishing! That’s what I like to watch! Keep putting them out and I will keep watching them for sure. Especially in times like these where I’m stuck at the house and can’t get out fishing myself.
NEED that box! thanks for always posting videos to help me cope until I can get out on the water. It's channels like these that make people want to start kayak fishing.
Very informative video. As a recreational angler I appreciate your simplistic approach. I fish from the bank and everything fits in the backpack. Too many youtubers try to hawk their certain sponsors and always show boatloads of tackle on each video. Keep it up!
I am a college angler who's too broke to afford a boat, so I fish out of my kayak....and I love it. Thanks for firing me up with all the awesome kayak tips and fish catches!
As a total beginner, it nice to get tips and tricks for fishing in the delta. It’s tough to only fish from shore but still fun. Thanks for the videos they are helpful to this rookie.
Thanks for another great video. My wife and I love watching and learning on your videos. We have both been Kayaking fishing the last couple of years and love watching your videos.
i love that you always talk about how your fishing each lure, but i really like that you take time to show exactly what bait it is and the color etc. I just got back into fishing last July, got my first yak, so trying to catch up; on all the new baits and how to fish them. love your videos and thanks for all the hard work.
Hey greg I've just started fishing out of a kayak this past year but I've been following you for the past two years and you are the main reason for my new obsession. Thanks and keep up the great videos.
Just want to say thanks for the straight up fishing videos, I enjoy all the other ones but love to watch your good and bad days! Thanks again for the entertainment! Tight lines brother!
Perfect timing as I'm updating my last 2 1990s Rods. Seriously 90s...I feel old now.😬 Keep droppin that fire content Greg and stay healthy✌🔥🔥🔥🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
I like how you share what setups you use and what you like I feel like other people don’t like to try and help out when it comes to gear or tackle. I always look forward to your uploads! Keep it up and thanks again
that iRod set up is gorgeous, hoping to get myself their Swimbait Jr. rod this summer. Love your videos, no clickbait, no funny stuff. Just pure, authentic fishing. Keep it coming!
Your videos are so underrated.. I live in south stockon and I recently got myself a kayak and will love to take it out on the delta and watching your videos really helped me build confidence on doing that! Thanks Greg!!!
This video couldn't have come at a better time. I have been wrestling with which rods to get to flush out my core rods for kayak fishing and was going to watch your previous video on your setups. Woke up this morning and got the notification that your read my mind lol. Love your videos! Keep it up!
Hey Greg! I just want to say that bobber stop tip is pure gold. I tried it my last few trips and it's amazing how much of a difference that makes! Tight lines!
Hi Greg. I've been watching your videos for along time. I'm in central NY and I like watching and learning from all your travels and adventures. Good luck and stay safe.
Living close to the delta, watching your stuff is always really relatable, as most areas nearby are pretty similar in fishing style to the delta. Hoping to get a kayak someday to be able to get to the juicy spots that shore fishing can’t. Loved the videos every since I first started watching, and still look forward to every one.
Thank for doing the breakdown on what rods you bring with you on your kayak. I have just gotten into kayak fishing and like watching your videos to get pointers to help me out and think this was a good video.
I’ve only recently started watching your videos. Have to say this has become one of my favorite channels. I find myself cheering you on during your tournaments! You have helped me recall my love for fishing and inspired me to purchase a kayak! Keep it up bro!! Side note: nice IPA choice..
Appreciate the generosity. I would say you kinda owe me. Because of your videos I just went and spent way more money on a titan than I ever thought I would spend on a kayak. Kidding its a phenomenal boat and lok forward to your content.
I just stared fishing and really enjoy watching your videos. I'm learning alot as to what baits to throw when and where. I just need to up my tackle box game with the right equipment. My brother and I bought an inflatable boat and your kayak videos have been super helpful. Keep up the good work bro.
Hey, first time ever writing a comment. I enjoy watching all your videos and always look forward to you new ones. I appreciate you sharing your equipments and ideas. Thanks
Greg, Thanks for the background on your setups - get that guide replaced! You have reinvigorated my kayak fishing and I am planning a trip to the Canadian Boundary Waters because of that renewal! Keep up the great work and if you feel up for a trip to AZ, let's fish the Colorado River! Thanks again! Brian
Hey Greg thanks for the rod set up video ....you have renewed my love for fishing with the videos you make and I got a nice fishing kayak now and been fishing a ton...it really shows you don’t need a 30k bass boat to do work lol .....thanks for the great videos
Thanks a ton for sharing what you do. I also fish with five rods and love my Ci4 reel. Your simple clear voiceover is really helpfully. Stay well and fish on!
Appreciate the advice. This year is my first year in a kayak which we had to buy some cheaper ones that we have modified for pure comfort. Pre-spawn has been epic and having the kayak to get where I wanna go has been epic. Thank you
Thanks, Greg. I’ve narrowed to 4 rods. Spinner finesse rod, glass chatter/crank rod, flipping/jig rod, and a frog/top water rod. All with shimano reels, two curado Ks, a shimano citica, and shimano spin. Great run down, really get a lot of good tips from you.
Dude your the bomb greg i love the way your so organized on the yak. Not a lot of people realize that. Ive enjoyed seeing you be so versatile with each rod throwing several baits on certain setups like your glass rod using it for a chatterbait setup which doubles up as a lipless rod with the lv 500 or using it with a squarebill its nice to have one rod that does all. Your a good with your thought process. Not alot of people are able to think that way. They way you think serves you in many ways ive seen You make some tournament choices sometimes im like this guy reminds me of myself your awesome man! God bless
Picked up 4 Curado Ks this year from watching your videos. Absolutely LOVE them. Always look forward to your next video. You're not only an inspiration to the young people but to us old guys too. Thank you Sir.
I'm a fan of all your content. I'm close to the Delta and I like seeing how the fishing is out there when I can't be on the water. Thanks for your videos!
They will be greatly appreciated north of the border in Quebec Canada. Been watching you for a long time and appreciate all the content that you put out the good the bad and the in and out
I’ve learned so much from you Greg watching you fish from Kayak and myself is from a kayak don’t quite have the set ups that you have but it’s not the set up that you have that I learn from it’s from you personally thank you for what you do keep putting your videos out one of my favorites to follow and just seeing that you’re giving away baits please throw them away I could use them LOL stay safe my friend
Thank you for the helpful video breaking own your combos, why you choose the gear you do, and what they're specified for. It's very helpful for us new guys getting into the sport of kayak fishing. Thank you, Greg!
I love the minimalist approach with 5 rods. I usually bring 4 set ups and as a newer kayak fisherman I am still trying to put a group together that will cover most trips during all seasons!
Thanks Greg for the great info on gear. Always enjoy watching your videos. , when I can’t get out on the water I just turn over to your videos to get my fix. Thanks again.
Thanks for all the great videos. I look forward to watching your videos every week and you have made me consider becoming a kayak fisherman. Keep up the good work and keep those videos coming!!

Love it Greg. I have bought more baits over the last year due to watching your videos. 👍🤗 I am looking forward to fishing this Saturday for the first time. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Paul 🎣
Another great video. I’ve definitely found myself doing more kayak fishing on my days off from the ER. Best way to social distance and have a great time here in NC. Thanks for the pointers and high quality videos.
Someone's going to get a tackle box of goodies! I like gear videos and even though you always link your gear I appreciate the more detailed explanation.
This my first year of doing tourneys from kayak. I take 5 casting rods, 2 spinning rods. Spinning-ned rig on one, dropshot on other. For the rest- 1 worming/texas rig rod, 1 jig rod, 1 cranking rod for squarebills to dt-10s, 1 chatterbait/spinnerbait rod, and 1 heavy frogging rod w/ braid. So very similar setups. I just always find myself using spinning rods more than anything...especially when its getting into the afternoon and I havn’t got near a limit yet. So basically watching your channel the past couple years and then knowing my own trends has been how I go about choosing my rods. You should get the new phenix maxim to replace your spinning rod. The 2020 is redesigned and amazing. I use the 6’10 med light for my dropshot rod with a daiwa exceler.
Love the videos man. Just got the new slayer max all because of your videos and the fact that you use native kayaks. Keep up the great work. You are a huge inspiration for me
It's crazy to me to see how different the set ups are across the country. Thanks for the info. I can't wait fishing opener in Minnesota is next weekend !
Hey Greg I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I still love to watch them just as much as the day I found them! Thanks for always putting out quality content!
Love the videos man! I’ve notice since day one of your videos that you were rocking with the curado reels and knew that I had to get one. Now I currently own a couple and thanks to you and your videos, I feel like I’ve grown as a fisherman throughout the years. Thank you and Stay Safe my Friend!
Greg, this literally couldn't have been better timing! I was picking out my first few baitcaster setups last night, but couldn't quite decide exactly what I wanted, so I figured that I'd make my decision today. And then, bam! Upon checking my favorite channels on RUclips this morning, this posted! Thanks you for taking the time to do this! It's helped more than I can say!
I really appreciate these videos. Always wonder what setups you are using to catch these hogs. I loved your last few trips on the delta since I'm a local delta guy. The really helps. Never caught a fish on a frog before and excited for that day when it comes. Your best Huddleston fishing comment of the year from your video had to be "When she spits it out, that's when I see her." You nailed it!!
I liked this video. Just started fishing from a kayak, yesterday being my second day on it. I've only been going out with 3 but just got the rod holders to make my crate and you gave me some good ideas.
Sweet video man! I’ve been binge watching yours and many other fishing channels since not much is open around me. Keep up the the good content and good luck on the water.
I called my brother "hey pick up a pack of the GREG BLANCHARD beer" and he knew exactly what I meant lol
LOL! That's awesome. Baits are yours! Just send me a message on IG (gregblanchard17) and I'll ship the goods to you. Cheers!
Miss this video but congrats to my Hmong brother on winning them baits!

James Belcher great idea. None of the vids on RUclips specifically talk about bait casting/yak skip casting. The “roll” skip cast doesn’t work for me.
I'm with James on this!
@@yakangler419 Yeah, the roll cast seated in a kayak should be re-named the "smack slap back lash cast. Cause lots of times I smack the water beside the yak and instant back lash lol.

Thanks for the breakdown. I always enjoy seeing other peoples setups as compared to my own.
Great selection of Combo Rigs, Greg. Like you said about the rods: Want distance - go Long...Want precise - go short.

Thanks for all you do for the kayak community. Not going to lie, your technique on using a frog is how I learned and is now how I fish with a frog.
I can’t make up my mind to go with left or right handed reels either.
Bro, go with the side what your most comfortable with while your fishing. Unless your like Greg, who can fishes both side :)
Good luck and have fun. Hope this helps.
I fish both. I have a bait caster that is lefty and another that is righty. My spinning rod combo is lefty as well
Definitely one of the most entertaining kayak fisherman on RUclips

Thanks Greg for the great info on gear. Always enjoy watching your videos. , when I can’t get out on the water I just turn over to your videos to get my fix. Thanks again.
Not sure if anyone’s told you this, but you have a great voice for yt, and just life in general. Just so calm and relaxing.
Thanks for all the great videos. I look forward to watching your videos every week and you have made me consider becoming a kayak fisherman. Keep up the good work and keep those videos coming!!

Nice to see you using a left-handed baitcaster I thought I was the only one who fished left hand retrieve

Love watching your vids during breakfast haha. Cheers Greg!
Love it Greg. I have bought more baits over the last year due to watching your videos. 👍🤗 I am looking forward to fishing this Saturday for the first time. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Thank for the detail, help me out on what my next setup will be. Keep up the good work. You are by far my favorite fishing youtuber.
Another great video. I’ve definitely found myself doing more kayak fishing on my days off from the ER. Best way to social distance and have a great time here in NC. Thanks for the pointers and high quality videos.
Best channel for the coronavirus blues! Never thought it would be a California bass fisherman that kept an Arkansan sane...
Someone's going to get a tackle box of goodies! I like gear videos and even though you always link your gear I appreciate the more detailed explanation.

great combos Greg. i watch you every morning and i learn a lot from your videos! keep up the great work.
Nice to see what others are using to help us select our arsenal and gear for the trip. Thank You! for the 411.

Sweet video man! I’ve been binge watching yours and many other fishing channels since not much is open around me. Keep up the the good content and good luck on the water.
