Soldering with flux was taught to me in highschool. Keeping a clean tip, too. How can these characters believe they should be watched, let alone used as a source for electronics assembly without the basics. I think if we leave a common unfavourable comment with all these hacks then the algorithm will slowly shut off their referrals.

Thank you for your support. Its hopefully going to change in the near future as RUclips's algorithm learns more about what genre's are being posted about.
I'm certain it will be corrected, and when it is it will for certain make a huge dent in correcting all the misinformation being monetized.
      Thank you,
      Vince

Maybe he's using a flux core leaded solder on the last part of the video? The good quality ones do work quite good, not saying what he's doing is correct but I do believe the solder he's using is acceptable if it's the correct type.

Thank you for your support ,but using solder without flux regardless of the type used is not the correct practice.
All solders require the use of flux for proper flow, wetting, and bond strength.
This is required for all soldering applications from electronics to plumbing.
Not using it is a content creator's way of posting half measure videos in hopes of getting views, as it all it takes is a simple Google search to see this is required if one is not aware.
The thing that's most interesting is how many of their audience practice what's being shown assuming its correct without any accountability taken from the content creator quite the opposite they get paid to show themselves doing the process incorrectly.
Everyone should be asking themselves why if these creators aren't well practiced in soldering, and understand all the components required to do it correctly, and safely are they making content featuring it?
I believe we all know the answer to this.
      Thank you,
      Vince

Good morning Vince! I was driving to work, and I got the thought to ask you what the little tool you use to protect the wire insulation when soldering is called? Id look around if I had the time right now. Thank you.
    God Bless

Thank you for your support. I'm sorry I don't know what tool you're referring to? Do you mean the jig holding the spindle cable leads when I'm soldering on the spindle connector? God Bless You As Well! Vince

Mr. Vince, why you don't use db9 connector with VFD's client? I think the way you did it with your VFD hides and save the wires. Maybe you do it to meet what clients want and are willing to pay for.

This is correct, have a look here I'm ahead of you on your question for this client ...:) ruclips.net/video/t2FIT1E2PyA/видео.html
Keep in mind its best to search my channel as I have almost 500 videos which usually will have one covering a question.
      Thank you,
      Vince
