Fish, contrary to popular belief, are very complex animals and can't just be put in a bowl to be happy.
That's just info for everyone if they might want a GloFish in the future. PetCo is kinda...well...known for having diseased fish, so I do not think Christine killed them, fish with diseases get stressed out very easily and can basically die at the drop of a hat.

Pretty sure you've already gotten this comment, but your fish died because you put them in to small of a tank, there was no airration pump, their water needs to be decontaminated and set up for at least a week before putting any fish into the tank. They need to be set in the water, IN THE BAG before being put into the water. Due to temperature change from their home water to your water if it is not done right it will shock their systems and they die. I love your channel, but your impulsive buy of those fish honestly pissed me off. I have fish that are currently going on 4 years old, and it sucks to see people not doing any research on the animal they're buying. Getting any pet is because you want to love and care for them, not because you want to be funny for a video.

I'm sure they have SOME kind of filters but they most likely aren't good quality or are extremely expensive and people usually go for the cheaper options thinking it'll have the same results.
That bowl was probably big enough to keep them alive but not happy. I am 100% sure they just used tap water to fill the bowl which is fine, but you need to use a water conditioner. A water conditioner will neutralize the chlorine and harmful metals that are used to make tap water safe for us to drink , but instant death to a fish. Which is probably the number one reason why they died so quickly. Also contributing factors would be. You need an air stone which is ideal to have proper oxygen levels because fish use the oxygen in the water to you know breath. Other wise it is just stagnanent water. Also you need some kind of filtration system to filter the water. They also did not cycle the tank for a week or two. This is a must when starting a new aquarium. As a fish tank needs bacteria to grow in order to achieve a proper ecosystem. As fish produce ammonia through their waste and by over feeding. You also need a heater as tropical fish need a temperature of at least 78 degrees. Any thing below this temperature will either shock them in many cases fish do not survive this. Or will cause them stress which is also not good for a fish. People fish need a lot of care and maintenance it is not as simple as putting tap water in a bowl. It is an extremely expensive and time consuming hobby that you need to do your research on before purchasing a live animal. A fish isn't just a pet you buy for your children to be interested in for a day or two. It is a living and breathing animal that feels stress and pain. Once you leave the pet store with a fish it is now your responsibility to take proper care of this animal and give it the best quality of life possible. Just some tips for people who are interested in purchasing fish.

Unknown Those fish can’t be kept in an unfiltered, unheated bowl. They are a schooling fish, so they need to be kept in a min. group of 6 fish in, ideally a 20 gallon heated and filtered tank, not a bowl. Not only that, but tanks have to be cycled (or your fish will die) which this one was absolutely not. I’m also willing to bet that the water wasn’t dechlorinated and the fish likely were not acclimated to the water temp. :( A shame really. Wish people wouldn’t get animals without doing the proper research first
Actually, they are freshwater GloFish danios. Their cause of death wasn't likely because of the temperature of the water. Their water can stay room temperature and be fine (as long as the house doesn't sit at a steady 65 degrees and below all day). They live in CA, so unlikely. They likely put them in either tap water (chlorine =bad) or filtered water with no beneficial bacteria that fish thrive on. They would also need bubbles, but that wouldn't have killed them in that short amount of time. Sorry for the blab! Worked with fish for years.

Fish cannot live in tap water for the first 24 hours due to high levels of chlorine . If you're going to use tap water you have to let it sit for at least 24 hours to let all the chlorine evaporate. Then the water is safe for the fish. You guys however probably just filled the glass up and dumbed them in and they suffocated from the chlorine
are you sure you checked to figure out exactly how to take care of the fish? if the water ph is even a little off for some fish theu die some also need constsnt filtration. i know that betta fish can live without a filter but it is a lot better for them if they have one. maybe those fish really needed a filter

You need an air stone which is ideal to have proper oxygen levels because fish use the oxygen in the water to you know breath. Other wise it is just stagnanent water. Also you need some kind of filtration system to filter the water. They also did not cycle the tank for a week or two. This is a must when starting a new aquarium. As a fish tank needs bacteria to grow in order to achieve a proper ecosystem. As fish produce ammonia through their waste and by over feeding. You also need a heater as tropical fish need a temperature of at least 78 degrees. Any thing below this temperature will either shock them in many cases fish do not survive this. Or will cause them stress which is also not good for a fish. People fish need a lot of care and maintenance it is not as simple as putting tap water in a bowl. It is an extremely expensive and time consuming hobby that you need to do your research on before purchasing a live animal. A fish isn't just a pet you buy for your children to be interested in for a day or two. It is a living and breathing animal that feels stress and pain. Once you leave the pet store with a fish it is now your responsibility to take proper care of this animal and give it the best quality of life possible. Just some tips for people who are interested in purchasing fish.

Unknown Those fish can’t be kept in an unfiltered, unheated bowl. They are a schooling fish, so they need to be kept in a min. group of 6 fish in, ideally a 20 gallon heated and filtered tank, not a bowl.
Not only that, but tanks have to be cycled (or your fish will die) which this one was absolutely not.
I’m also willing to bet that the water wasn’t dechlorinated and the fish likely were not acclimated to the water temp. :( A shame really. Wish people wouldn’t get animals without doing the proper research first

Actually, they are freshwater GloFish danios.
Their cause of death wasn't likely because of the temperature of the water. Their water can stay room temperature and be fine (as long as the house doesn't sit at a steady 65 degrees and below all day). They live in CA, so unlikely. They likely put them in either tap water (chlorine =bad) or filtered water with no beneficial bacteria that fish thrive on. They would also need bubbles, but that wouldn't have killed them in that short amount of time. Sorry for the blab! Worked with fish for years.

( a chemical that u can buy ) and u need a filter as well .plus you need need to wait 3 days for the water to make sure the chemicals are everywhere . If u don't do this ur new fish will die 🤦♀️☹️

Honestly it kind of makes me irritated how they just took a random vase and bought random shit and like “oh here we go this is good.” Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t even try to adjust the water temperature. Also those fish shouldn’t be in that small of a tank. So ignorant.

Fish cannot live in tap water for the first 24 hours due to high levels of chlorine . If you're going to use tap water you have to let it sit for at least 24 hours to let all the chlorine evaporate. Then the water is safe for the fish. You guys however probably just filled the glass up and dumbed them in and they suffocated from the chlorine
