Devils fan here so I may be bias but to me Talbot was out of the crease completely, and the wings pk has been really bad. Bad time for a challenge especially against NJ’s powerplay
Lalonde makes a good point on that challenge his staff made and it ultimately not being turned over. The league seems to have 5 different definitions of what goaltender interference is. They have to stick with one and that’s it.
@@p00l95it wasnt incidental contact and thats the point. he was watching the shot and as the shooter started his wind up he purposefully crossed/ jumped over/ pretended trying to avoid making contact as he purposefully runs into Talbots head and purposely interferes with the goaltender who's right leg remained in the blue. its purposeful goaltender interference and there was no reason to cross in the path of the goaltender except to interfere. it was a bullshit review and it cost the wings this game
the crowd was like.. dead silent at the end there... just like all of us at home. this game should have been a Guaranteed win half way through the first period...and every 82game red wings fan thought the same thing.. Please get the 3rd goal for insurance.. do it now... and they didn't. instead they walked right into dumb penalties (and Yes lalonde's challenge was the cause of another dumb penalty ... holy sh$t he actually blames the video coach and goalie coach there for that one...? the ultimate decision lies with him.. as have a lot of boneheaded decisions. could have kept a lead going into that intermission and then been up 3-1 coming out of it) ... seriously ... chiarot and petry had their worst game this season here. . not to mention that chiarot's high stick for 4 minutes also cost us big time. i dont even understand how a guy falling down into chiarot's stick... (no ref called a penalty) ends up being retroactively turned into a penalty... double minor. what a joke this entire game was. the wings cant keep making giant blunders, expecting the goalie to bail them out, blaming posts, blaming referees, expecting Larking or Raymond to make last minute clutch miracle tie-game-goals to save them every game. this is Crunch time for Yzerman.. we all know he's a genius but waiting for a nicely reared youth plan to fruition in 5 or 10 more years aint right.. he knows what he has to do but hes not doing it: Get rid of a couple defensemen asap and make a giant trade for someone like Roman Josi .. Victor Hedman.. shoot any great defensive defensman with a plus offensive upside... to bulk up the blueline. johansson is not the cure. edvinsson is still learning , though good. we need immediate blueline help .. because there's still 3/4 season left and we dont need a billion more draft picks and 4 goalies... trade some of those for a couple veteran defensive defensemen... (please not trouba) ... people who Hit, block, defend, shoot, rush, shadow and Defend!

You realize there’s no alternative right? You can’t just play mo and Ed for 35 minutes a game. So you can piss and Noah about Petry and chariot all you want. There’re not going anywhere
Watch the replay. You can clearly see Talbot push off from inside the crease into Noesen who is almost 2 feet well outside of the crease. Look where Noesen is, and then where Talbot ends up by the time goal happened lol...the fact that Lalonde bitched about it for so long in the post game is hilarious.

I can’t even count how many times this team has gotten scored on less than 10 seconds into a penalty kill. It’s embarrassingly bad.
