@@rinaldslibeks1592 Latvians declared their independence in 1990. It wasn't recognized by the USSR (as usual) until 1991. Just like how the United States declared themselves independent on July 4, 1776, but wasn't recognized by Britain seven years later on September 3, 1783.
@@ajc8815 What's the difference between 21st August 1991 and May 1990? And what was the reason you were starting to get re-recognized only just then in August 1991, not in May 1990. Just curious.
