One of the best post rock songs ever written. No matter how many times you hear it, it just evokes a special emotion out of you. The atmosphere is unreal.
Was at this gig stood to the bottom left of the stage & at one point the lady stood in front decided it would be a fine idea in the middle of a crowd to pull from her bag & place on her head the biggest floppiest Audrey Hepburn style sunhat i ever did see, WTF!!!! I tapped her shoulder & politely asked that she removed it so the 25 ppl whose view it was blocking could see. Was even more breathtaking than it seems
I made special plans to go to Gateshead to see this lot the night before. While in Newcastle for lunch, I fell and dislocated my shoulder, spent the afternoon in the Infirmary and arrived at the gig still half-full of morphine. But it was great (despite/because of that, and the fire alarm and evacuation half way through, and the very long walk along the Tyne to my hotel after). Then during the gig, the people in the next seats told me they'd added this perf as an extra date. I live about a mile from the feckin' Liquid Room! I was in too much discomfort to go there again the next night. But I did get to see them twice when they played the Festival. Some of the best gigs I've been to in 60+ years.
+Genghis Kon Sorry, I'm afraid now- wanted to enjoy the show completely so didn't want to film it all, but this is my fav piece so had to record it! Glad you enjoyed :)

they asked me what hope and despair felt like I hummed East Hastings
That is the most floor pedals I've ever seen in one shot.
Thought exactly the same, love how full the floorspace is on stage! ☮️ 💨
The transitions at 9:43 and 11:12 are great.

The most complex punk rock song ever.
