Cheapest possible route, for me, was an InFocus IN112x projector for $40 (albeit 800x600 resolution), $20 active shutter DLP Link glasses, and playing pirated 3D SBS movies (or hooking up my 3D bluray player). I prefer my Vizio passive 3D television I had got off of Facebook Marketplace for $100.
Hey, man. I know the demographic for this content is small but I seen this video and clicked IMMEDIATELY. Thank you for creating this. Genuinely appreciated.
If you buy a Projector that supports passive 3D presentation, you must also have a screen that is capable of refecting polerized light. one of the core issues with stereoscopic 3D that impacted peoples preseption of the artform here comes down to peoples experences with poor presentation . Many of the small cinima's across our region have real issues with poor quality 3D presentation with 3D films being dark and muddy making them a stressful viewing experece to watch . the key issue here is cinima's not incresing the lumans (light output level) of the projectrors lamp , to deal with the light loss of the filters in the glasses, Films that are have poor 3D converesion are also another issue as they can contain scenes that are not perspetive correct . ass appposed to films authored in "native 3D format" .I usually find watching 3D at home to be a better experence , Cameron has made it a real issue pointing his finger at cinima's that are not following proper presentation procedure and are not calibrating there projectors properly are in huge part at the core of the blame here . this often comes down to the point that when many small cinima's where forced to make the switch to digital projection they bought projectors that offered a light output level that just barely bright enougth to handle normal films. This is a bit old but its some dailog that James Cameron shared about the unique aspects of the fusion Camera system and what the film industry got Wrong ,, ruclips.net/video/fO35Tdb_3Xw/видео.html I admit the interviewer is a little anoying , the core of the truth is its not just the camera used for live action "but" its also in the core of the films native internal digital production stereo space process. and yes it is both a science and an artform on many levels in the film editing process.. Avatar 2 has more unique versions going out into the world then any other film in history (inclding a dynamic high frame rate version presented at 48 fps). hopefuly that renewed intrest will result in improvments to the ways we can experence 3D films at home on improved media ..
It is so lame 😭😭😭 however PS3 & PS4 got patches years after launch that gave them the ability to play 3D content. The fact that PS5 can do VR tells me it absolutely had the hardware to do it, they just need to patch it in.
Do not go to the Kandycastle site that guy recommends on his channel in one of his videos. They sell bad bootlegs burned blurays. Several did not even work. I wasted ~$80 listening to him. Otherwise, his channel is great.
