For anyone who wants an ever easier method without flipping or extra "accessories" - It's very simple: - Wash the sweet potate very well - Cut the sweet potate in half - Poke both halves with a fork like 5-6 times for ventilation - Put the 2 halves face down on a plate - Cook for 5-6 minutes - Profit No need for paper towels, comes out clean, soft and ready to eat.
Been doing this for breakfast before school, easy, practical, filling, and there’s health benefits! Perfect for snacking too! Definitely recommend this method!
This is a great 1 ingredient snack on the go in the car. I get the long sweet potatoes then cut it in half, and I eat it like an icecream cone, and peel the skin off as I eat it.
Yes, especially if you are looking into the perspective of comparing it to a regular potato or simple carbs. Despite its natural sugar content it is better for you.
I microwaved it for 5 minutes total, so it cooked for 2 and a half minutes. I then flipped it. And I cooked it for 2 and half more minutes. Depending on the size of your sweet potato and microwave power, it could take more time. Microwave it until it’s tender and you’ll be good.
i legit watched a girl say she bakes them in the over for 1 hour and then 45 minutes resting them how come this only takes 5 minutes? is it fully cooked and okay to eat?

What settings do you use at the microwave? Won't they explode from the steam generated while cooking?
That's why you poke holes, to let the steam out. If you don't poke holes, yes it will explode
So, no seasoning?
Thanks
Guys waht do i do if i dont have safe plate bc it starts doing some noises and im scared bc it can explode
Lol
and to think I've just bought an 'air-fryer' that takes much longer and uses more juice :-/. nice happy music, thanks

GRATITUDE 💥🤩💥
Is it healthy?
Yes, especially if you are looking into the perspective of comparing it to a regular potato or simple carbs. Despite its natural sugar content it is better for you.
I usually look at 3-4 videos but yours was so nice it’s the only one I watched & did it‼️
DELICIOUS 👍‼️thank you 💕
5 minutes it’s still hard as a rock
It will depend on your microwave's wattage and the size of the sweet potato.
At what temperature?
Defrost
So 5 min per side or 5 minutes?
I microwaved it for 5 minutes total, so it cooked for 2 and a half minutes. I then flipped it. And I cooked it for 2 and half more minutes. Depending on the size of your sweet potato and microwave power, it could take more time. Microwave it until it’s tender and you’ll be good.
5 minutes ?
Oven cooked tastes much better.
👍❤😊
