I'm pretty sure it was the Singer/Guitarist, he was my dentist for a while. He had all these pictures of him with famous people in his dentist office area. It was awesome. Too bad I was too young to care about music like I do now.
Very respectable. Way too slow? No way. Check out Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush's cover of Slim Harpo's "I'm a King Bee" at the California Jam II. Slow and tight. That song introduced me to the band.
Kenny Wayne Shephard has a very respectable cover of this as well. Originally Howlin' Wolf, "What a Woman!" also under the title "Commit a Crime" and referred to by others as "I'm Gonna Leave." As for the remark about "way too slow," get a life, dude, it's the same pace set by SRV & KWS, and pretty damned close to the original. Just sayin'
I think that's a pretty common mistake about a lot of blues numbers that were popularized to rockers by white musicians. I used to think that Clapton wrote Crossroads.
Nonsense -- Jagger's voice and phrasing were spot on and Jeff Beck as usual choked a few screams from the guitar I've never heard before. This version is just a slower and sloppy version of the SRV version...your comment has been shown much agreement because it's wrong -- just plain wrong...their version was an original take by original artists --- THIS IS NOT!
RIP STEVE . LLB covered this even you would be proud
Big ups to the drummer for playin this song. Yall playin srvs version in slow mo

I've got this by SRV too, but these guys sound wonderful and so much nicer to look at.
nicer to look at? is that a factor??? They sound far worse than SRV anyway
Definitely not SRV... but excellent job none the less
It's a Howlin Wolf tune! Not SRV and you might find it named "What a Woman" one of my favorite Blues tunes ever. LLB be jamming though.
BUENO !!!!!!
It was actually first done by Howlin' Wolf.
Maybe im wrong but his tempo seens to mimic the srv version. Sorry stones and howlin wolf the OG but like srvs version better personally
I swore that was Michael Glaser on the drums for a min.

David Zobel i totally agree, the tempo sounds a lot like srv. I thought the song originally was done by srv

So cool he had the privilege of having Henry Garza play
Check out Eddie Shaw Committ A Crime
Not SRV, its Howlin Wolf's
thats a howling wolf song
Sorry that's, you're comment hasn't* been shown much agreement.
commits a crime i put like....
I love these guys, but this performance is not connected.. Lacking... Ray Vaughn had it right..
Guitar starts OK, but drums kick in at 15bpm slower than intro, and then those turnarounds, so sloppy and loose..

WAY Better than Jagger and Beck at the white house!
It goes way too slow and with no feel, like Steve, sorry guys! But it is fun to do cevers, ain`t it!!?
