  • Marcus and Steve answer open-line questions from the Journey Home audience. Steve was born and raised in Utah in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons). His ancestors had been Mormons since 1832. At the age of 18, he joined the Air Force and met his Catholic wife in Germany. Though his wife and later his children were Catholic, he believed the Catholic Church was an apostate church. In 1993, his wife asked him to come to listen a presentation made by Scott & Kimberly Hahn. After listening to Scott, Steve went on a quest to disprove him and affirm Mormon teaching. In his studies he began to see the inconsistencies of Mormonism. He then began to study Catholic teaching, which resulted in his becoming a Catholic Christian.
