Hi! We also loved our time in Utrecht. To be honest, we felt in the city a little bit more Netherlands than in Amsterdam. But we dont want to raise a big discussion here. It's just our personal opinion. What do you think about it?

@@theTravellers Glad you enjoyed it :) I was born and raised in Utrecht so my opinion is a little bit biased but I genuinely love Utrecht more than the other places in the Netherlands; I kinda consider it a smaller version of Amsterdam with less tourists. Walking in Amsterdam is nice, but can take a while sometimes whereas most of Utrecht is accessible within walking distance.
Both cities are great, but Utrecht will always have a special place in my heart!
And of course Utrecht has an awesome craft brewery scene as well and even a brewery in the vaults of a medieval castle right along the Oudegracht (Old Canal).

I do, as there is a lot more to the Netherlands than Amsterdam. This year, I visited Leiden, Utrecht, Haarlem. I go with my Cousin, and we walk miles as there is so much to see.
