I'm in total agreement regarding your take on a more contained, perhaps character/story driven approach for the Universal monster gang. Keep them in their established place in time. After all it worked the first time around and there's a reason these films are classics and these characters have become iconic.
Monsters Crash The Pajama Party is themed of the old Ghost/Spook Shows and Monster Shows that travelling magicians used to do live in local movie theaters up into the 1960s. Something Weird Video is great about cramming in scads of extras and that DVD is a blast. The commentaries by some of the performers who actually did those travelling shows are extremely interesting and fun. I need to revisit my copy this Halloween. If you like monsters you'll love it.
Lust For A Vampire isn't as highly regarded by most fans as The Vampire Lovers and Twins Of Evil, but I really enjoy it since I'm infatuated with Yutte Stensgaard. I think all three of the Hammer Karnstein films are well done and big fun. I remember seeing ads for those in the early '70s when I was a bit too young for those sorts of films. And, I saw stills and articles of them in several monster mags and books about monster movies. I finally got to see them by renting them on VHS in the '80s, and now I'm glad to have them on BD/DVD. I believe Lust For A Vampire is (or soon will be) available on BD in the UK, but since I don't have an all region player yet I'll just make do with my DVD until it gets a stateside Blu-ray release. Nice pick-ups BTW.
I own and have read all three "Logan's Run" books. The two sequels will run you around $13 and $35 dollars, including shipping, on Amazon. I was able to pick up a copy of Logan's Search for only ten bucks. But that was a while ago. The second book is a must read. The third one feels more like an episode from the t.v. series. But it's still a good read.

If you didn't already know, they were also released in a single volume published in '92 entitled "Logan: A Trilogy". BTW, Nolan wrote a 4th story entitled "Logan's Return" published in 2000. It was only available as an ebook at the time.

I'm hoping to see the rest of the Universal Classics and more of the Hammer classics like Horror of Dracula and Curse of Frankenstein released on Blu Ray soon. Btw Dawn of the Dead remake is getting a collector's edition soon.

Yep, Halloween is coming. Some pretty cool pick ups. I recently watched the 2016 "The Mummy" movie last week. To be honest I wasn't too excited for the movie judging by the trailers, it just looked like it was repeating the same tropes from the Brendan Frasier movies with the over-the-top action sequences, but a lot more dark and less funny. But after watching it, I didn't think the movie was terrible. The performances were good, there was a bit of humor in the film, and it did have more of a horror movie vibe, there's a sequence in the movie where it really had a great horror vibe, and it had me thinking "Wow, that was disturbing, wish there were more scenes like it". I do agree that taking this "Dark Universe" in this kind of Action-Adventure/Horror vibe is a pretty bad idea. Especially considering the fact that a lot of the classic Universal Monster movies were actually loose adaptations of classic novels like "Dracula", "Frankenstein", and "The Invisible Man". Each of those were separate stories are pretty much their own story and have nothing in common with one another. Look forward to hear what you thought of it when you get around to watching it.
There is a triple pack of "The Omega Man / Soylent Green / Logan's Run" which might've saved some money, depending on what you paid (or if you already owned TOM). Either way, nice haul, Sir!
You got cool Blu-rays. I like The Mummy 1999 Movie, the best. I thought The Mummy Returns, was ok. I didn't care about the third movie and the spin-off. There's also The Mummy: The Animated Series, it came out in 2001. I did like The Mummy 2017 Movie. I'm glad that, you got Tom & Jerry: Golden Collection Volume 1 Blu-ray, I have it on DVD. I heard that Tom & Jerry: Golden Collection Volume 2 DVD/Blu-ray got cancelled because most people got mad about something about missing episodes. I wish that, WB would put out Tom & Jerry Kids Season 2-4 DVD, Tom and Jerry Tales Season 2 DVD, The Tom and Jerry Show 2014 Cartoon Series Season 2 DVD.

I've heard a lot of people say the first two movies are the best ones, I look forward to finally seeing them. Yeah, it's too bad about Volume 2 of the Tom and Jerry Golden Collection. I sent another u tuber this version of One flew over the cuckoos nest blu ray a few years ago when i was still big in to buying blu rays. I have a big collection but lost my mojo for buying them., It was 50 50 if it was u or him. Wish id sent it to u, he was very ungrateful. Its my favourite movie of all time. Love your channel and been watching u for years. Love to see u do a review of this movie. Jack Nicholson is my all time best actor.

Zaranyzerak Tom Cruise should've played Lestat a lot more than just one movie, seems very anti climatic to me. The first two Brendan Fraser Mummies are good but the third is pretty bad IMO. Although you might like it more than I did. Why didn't that Gothic DVD play on your player? That DVD release looks pretty piss poor for that movie, it deserves better. Shout Factory needs to release that and also use that creepy VHS cover again!
I suspect it was just DVD rot. It looks like it was a bargain bin release to begin with, so likely not the highest quality standards when it was made...lol. We need more Ken Russell stuff on Blu-ray, his movies were nuts. This one seems to have been largely forgotten.
What company released that Gothic DVD, I've never had one that wouldn't play at all but definitely ones that kept freezing through out the movie and wasn't even scratched!

It is a combination of the vampire lestat and queen (with a LOT changed or left out both Louis and lestat' mom are left out) but still a decent movie.
Ah, okay. Wow, those were both MASSIVE books...can't believe they decided to smush them into a single under 2 hour movie.

The 4K mummy movies are upscaled. Not worth it on 4K. I've got the regular bluray set which looks nice!
