About Dead End Hip Hop:
No scripts. It's pure unfiltered hip hop conversations and album reviews. No politics. No BS. We Are The People. Развлечения
Feefo came through with his expected MF Doom submission, but Ken came with a true "hold my beer" moment when he said The Black Album. He got tired of Feefo having the worst opinion, he wants the crown.
@@dichotome_ Very well could have. He just wants the crown. Feefo been dominating for ages. I get it.
Ken is just a contrarian. if everyone on the panel said they love hip hop, I'm 100% sure he'll say he hates hip hop since the beginning.
Ken has never liked that album. He told Feefo he was sipping on the voodoo about it years ago during the “best discography” video.
@@joshuaDstarks Does he say why? It's hard to argue against the album being great. Whether it had more hype around it being his "retirement" album or not, the album speaks for itself. It's like he has more of a problem with the album roll-out than the actual music. Kind of silly.
@@dichotome_He liked it but was lukewarm on it.
Ken should’ve mentioned 808s bruh, in older videos he always says he hates it and I wanna hear him talk about it.
I still don’t think he’s a fan but I think he appreciates the influence that album has had as appose to liking it
Bruh I still watch that Kanye West Blakkk Skinhead album review. They were mad how bad that album was.
@@HarveygregorxotwodNaaa, Ken still hates it
@@oblivionworldwide yeah but Nostalgia Ultra for example in your profile picture is a product of 808s just aswell as many artists and album Ken likes. Even if he doesn’t like it i think he still appreciates the influence it has if ygm
Not a hiphop classic album so I see no cards getting revoked over not liking it.
Look at feefo staring at Beezy 1:15:55 😂 Wayne and Juelz dropped Blow/I can't feel my face. Some of Wayne's grittiest work. Hot Sh*t, Get at these niggaz, Rewind, Birds Flying High, Rep my hood, Hollywood Divorce.. They put out some heat

My 1st song
I’m from Seattle but Sir Mix A Lot is a one hit wonder to the masses. The other songs he has most people would not know
I can respect Beezy not liking X albums because he simply doesn’t like the artist. But not liking Southernplayalistic Is crazy for somebody that says they rock with OutKast. X a Top 3 favorite rapper all time btw.
That hurt to hear about Ironman. The actual CD had artwork of an iron suit with the Wu Tang symbol on the chest! Some versions of those discs had the track "The Soul Controller", an amazing song.
Doesn't surprised me BEEZY doesn't like its dark and hell is hot even on the classic album review a few years ago. He was the only one who didn't like it didn't have the attachment like the rest of us did. However im shocked Ken doesn't care for The Carter 2.
Take care is definitely a classic. They just too old to understand the impact it had
i wish myke was here. hes the only one that can acknowledge the greatness and significance of a body of work even if he may not personally like it
Take care?
Come on man 😂
@@jahterminatedlmao5473 the words right out of my mouth bro. Thank you. Beezy is the typa dude that, if he doesn’t like it, it means it’s not a classic
Agree with you 100%. Take Care was EVERYWHERE. Being played EVERYWHERE. and Drake is one of the few rappers who puts out albums where legit any person from any walk of life can find at least 1 song they like on his projects.
Take Care was popular but it’s not a classic. It has to be up there with illmatic and 36 Chambers and others to be a classic and it’s no where near that level
NOOOOoOoOoOo, Feefo!!! not Liquid Swords 😭 😂
I'm with Ken on the Cudi
T_T
Feefs was comfortable to say Doom cause Myke wasn’t there😅👀
18:57 Thank you Beezy Drake Take care is a snooze fest aside from radio singles. Never understood that album.
My 3 are De La Soul’s 3 feet high, Common’s Be album and Beasty boy’s Paul’s Boutique
Popular albums I never liked:
DMX - FOMF, BOMB
OutKast - SB/TLB
T.I. - No Mercy
Ludacris - Release Therapy
J. Cole - 4 Your Eyez Only
Ye - Yeezus
Lil Wayne - Tha Carter 1
Snoop Dogg - The Doggfather
Nas - I Am
Kendrick Lamar - MMATBB
1:22:00 - same thing happened when I saw Devin the Dude. Everyone started smokin'. Security just let it fly.
8:33 😂 Rod's oohhsss
1:09:26 the moment Feefo got his card revoked
21:56 Get rich or die tryin is still a classic but it sounds dated as hell because one reason. 50 Cent was the last 90s era rapper to really blow up. After 50 cent era it was the younger kids/internet era. We got Souljaboy dances and less hardcore lyrics. More 123 abc type rap. The beats all became southern trap influenced. The whole sound changed.
18:07 I'm a huge fan of that first asap rocky album. Don't think I don't remember when yall trashed it in your review years back. Live Love asap is still one of his best work. It still hits the way it did back then for me.
I woulda quit too Jalen! Ken is trippin on those cudi albums!
If yall did do best rappers for each state, i would say Wun (aka Hollywood Wun) for Hawai'i
I would like to see Alchemist make a full album with Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and GRIP
idk why they was all talkin about old albums. theres so many albums from 2010s and 2020s so far that are regarded classics that they dont f with
I gave on mainstream 20 years ago so id be here all night on shit i dont like
For me its Kanye's "Graduation". Crazy good singles, but as an album experience it falls short for me. Amazing sample flip of Steely Dan on Champion though
Nah u buggin lol. Which songs fall short? Cuz most of the cuts are better than the singles.
@@blacksoapy I really love Good Morning, Champion and Flashing Lights; everything else doesn't really hit for me. I still enjoy it, I just enjoy it the least out of his early discography

Wayne so nice on a track he took Beyoncé track Upgrade You & I forgot it was hers lol
Not a Drake fan, but I’ll never understand why people don’t think Take Care is a classic album.
Take care has some cringe songs whereas NWTS is much more mature
I still think Take Care is his best album 🤷🏿♂️
@@JewportMentholsall Drake albums have cringe songs but I wasn’t necessarily talking about my personal opinion on the album. I just think it’s impact and the way it affected this generation is undeniable. Most people born 1992-2002 have it in their top 20 hip hop albums of all time in terms of classics. Whether the older heads like it or not, you can’t deny it has a place and should be mentioned.
And plus I don’t think someones classic album is always their best album. I’d prob pick NWTS and IYRTITL above Take Care myself. Shit, maybe even Views lol.
Because it's not. They say that in regards to quality not just impact. It had huge impact on pop rap and the impact watered down the culture. To be classic it has to also be of the highest quality, which Drake is to generic to be capable of
48:00 Ken WILDING !!!
Feefo my goat for this
GLAD YOU SHOUTED OUT NAOMI SHARON KEN!!! She needs more recognition maaaaaan Drake is not promoting her in the way he should be!
Im glad you left this comment bc i did not feel like coming back her and scanning through the whole video to find her name
“Get Rich or Die Trying” is not as good as I remembered it after I revisited it recently
Wayne Feature: Uh Oh w/ Ja Rule
Wayne Song: either Tha Mobb or Scarface
Feefo isnt a huge fan of experimental Rap so him not liking Liquid Swords or Madvillany isnt a far stretch. I enjoyed both of those albums a whole lot growing up even till dis very day I'll say both albums influenced a whole lotta experimental artists of the modern era. Daveed Diggs, Earl Sweatshirt, Evidence the list goes on.
Y'all giving Ken a heart attack...and Ken giving himself one wit that Jay take
When we getting coast contra reactions 👀
25:35 Damn ken
HARDNOCK LIFE BY JAY Z, NASTRADAMUS BY NAS. DOGGFATHER BY SNOOP DOGG ELECTRIC CIRCUS BY COMMON
I actually kind of agree with Ken on Carter 2. It's the weakest of the three for me. Still some heat on it though.
Carter
Carter 3
Carter 2
Edit: surprisingly agree with a lot of these takes Dark and hell is hot is just ok to me. Also never rated Black Thought as high as most people do.
Liquid Swords is great, but Supreme Clientele and Cuban Linx are better IMO.
Carter 5 is better than Carter 2 to me
Carter 2 is better than Carter 1 . 2nd best album and Carter easily. Too many bangers and his best sound
@@DaDelinguisher Go DJ, BM J.R. and I Miss My Dawgs are all better than any track on Carter 2 IMO. Even the more pop sounding tracks like Earthquake and This is the Carter are dope.
I rate BM J.R. as the best song he's ever made. I'd argue that is his peak lyrically.
Yall need for revisit Relapse in a review because I tried to relisten to it after Myke and B praising it and I could barely get through it cuz of how bad it was. It’s Encore bad.
Naw you buggin. The voice em kept making was bad but the beats and rhyming was good
@@Newportnews98 I’ll try to give it another complete listen. I tried this morning at work, and the first track was good but his voices on those first couple tracks were so annoying. But the rhyming and beats were there.
I wasn’t upset until they got to Soul Food and Ironman. What?!😂
B shitting on DMX will alway be wild to me. Especially considering some of the inferior rappers he likes. To each their own, I guess.
@@dichotome_I understand that his flow might not be for everybody, but in his prime, he rode a beat better than everyone in Griselda
@@dichotome_ nah I get. However, Westside Gunn for example, is a legit terrible rapper and has one of the worst flows ever, but he praises him. I don’t understand it, but I guess it’s not for me to understand.
@@dichotome_ listen closer? I’ve given him multiple chances and each time, he sounds worse than the last time. WSG also isn’t close to being the same caliber of MC or artist that X was, but I’m sure that goes without saying.
I wanna hear an EarlWolf album
Batman himself couldn’t get these takes out of me
The Roots disrespect in chat was wild, Meh discography? Yeah okay lol
IYRTITL and NWTS clears Take Care
Give Donald his money back for that wild take, that’s dirty money
Rod's takes really hurt my feelings, damn!
for me. yeezus-ye, american gangster-jayz, relapse-em. yeezus is mid but Critics & Fans think that’s one of ye’s best albums. american gangster production/hook wise is jays worst album. relapse is just no😂.
They need to do artists next. All of em will get cancelled.
Spice 1 dis not fall off after his 3rd album. 1990 sick was one of his best albums and black bossalini from 97 was still good. Immortalized in 99 was when he fell off.
Saying stuff like, you not liking Things Fall Apart and you not liking Black Thought, not only loses your rap card but is unsubscribabable. That's exactly what I just did. Unsubscribe.
WHERE IS THE EARL REVIEW? THE PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW, I WONT BE SILENCED
I don't get the hype on carter 2 either. It's good but not a masterpiece.
If Take Care isn’t a classic to them (which is crazy to think) I would love to hear what albums they think from 2010 and on are classics.
Eminem - Eminem show
Kendrick Lamar- gkmc
Kanye west - 808 and heartbreaks
Every Lil wayne album.
I was about to type this 😂😂😂😂
Honestly I think Juvenile > Lil Wayne
@@dichotome_ I listened to those and I still don't get it, but honestly I just think his subject matter doesn't connect to me

For me I never liked. I know it's going to be crazy to pimp a butterfly
I agree with Feefo on Liquid Swords. I've tried but man I just don't see the hype with GZA's music at all. I prefer Raekwon and Ghostface way more
Nas it was written never held my attention. It's not easy to follow Illmatic. But I never loved it
It seems like people either love that album to pieces or can’t get into it. Lupe Fiasco says it inspired him to rap. Nas has definitely put out worse projects like Nastradamus and Streets Disciple, but they aren’t as popular.
Crazy
Was that a 10 minute intro? lol
Please review Voir Dire
I was never a fan of All Eyez on Me by Tupac
I agree with the Black Star take. I like certain songs on the album but it wasn't mind blowing. And I'm definitely a fan of Mos Def too
that's crazy. as a fellow Mos Def fan, i might take Black Star over Black On Both Sides 😬
That’s crazy, as a Yasiin Bey fan, they’re both masterpieces.
ken knows
I’m not a fan of Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt. I can’t get with it.
I just revisited Black Starr and there's only like 4 songs I still mess with off that album, everything else disappointing compared to how I originally felt about it when it dropped.
Little Brother isn’t on the album but it’s an incredible song! One of J Dilla’s best beats (and that is a very high bar).
@@Dog-999i yeah, I remember hearing that on Strictly Hip Hop years ago. Great song. The best on the album to me though is Respiration
🔥
If Hell Hath No Fury aint on the sophomore bracket I'm calling my local representative
WHAT THE HELL DO YALL LISTEN TOO....OR LISTEN FOR?? I UNDERSTAND PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT TASTE BUT.....YALL BLOWING MINES WITH SAYING CERTAIN ALBUMS ARE TRASH
I really don’t get the hype behind Carter 2 and 3. Carter 1 was so much better than those 2 imo Wayne snapped on that album.
I agree with so many of these takes. MF Doom, Cudi, GZA, ASAP, and Ghost all resonate with me. Decent, but overrated to me.
Black Star, Black Album and IDAHIH are all really good to me though. IDAHIH was HUGE at the time and the Black Star LP was important for underground NY hip hop in the late 90’s.
For me though, the major issue here is that there is a lot of revisionist history with these albums. Most of these albums weren’t considered classics at the time. Most of them were just seen as good albums. Be real, we’re these albums received as instant classics at the time? Or even in the 2-3 years after the albums run? Most people weren’t looking at the Black Album as a classic. The Rocafella/Def Jam marketing team were, but the public? I like that album too but it weren’t received like universal praise. It’s a good album.
People are way too ready to go back and give out the classic label to albums these days. Are some of these albums Culturally important. Yes, in some cases. Popular? Yes, most of them anyway. Classic?
We need to stop these fairytales we tell each other about older music.
Surely the fact that u can look back and call an album a classic means more than an instant classic? Doesn’t classic mean it stands the test of time?
Great stream
Modest media easily the worst😂😅
My 1 is definitely Life After Death but I'd also throw in Outkast albums as a WHOLE, and Carter 2.
Atliens is fire
Ouktkast albums had to grow on me. I always loved the hit songs but the B sides Didn't get to me at first. Now I love everything they made. The represented on how lyrical southern rappers could be.
@@dichotome_ you're right, I didn't say that. Outkast has some of THEE best songs ever made but a lot of songs on their albums don't hit like that. The beats be too droopy, and just drag. Rapping is outstanding ofc.
@@thelightseeker94 I've legit tried 50 times, and I'll keep trying. It's so weird cuz I can put on a Mobb Deep album and instantly love it, knowing they're not necessarily rapping as good as Big Boi n 3K. But the beats hit, and flow just rides out perfectly for me.
@@blacksoapyCarter 2 is mad underrated. Carter 3 commercial appeal got y’all overlooking it
Disliking the video just cause of the thumbnail image
These albums probably will get my card revoked not to say I don't like these ones but they're overrated by fans.
The Chronic 2001 good album after explosive, whats the difference, the next episode. The second half loses a bit of steam.
Mecca and the soul brother good album, Love Pete Rock as a producer. I go back towards the first 8-9 records. Cl smooth best rapping is on the main ingredient.
Great adventures of Slick Rick. Slick rick is the greatest storyteller in hip hop, this album has too many skips. Other than Children's story, Mona lisa, Kit whats the scoop, the rulers back, the moment i feared. Otherwise the album I dont care for.
i feel you on all of these
I def hated dark twisted fantasy. I only like devil in new dress. I never understood that hype
Cudi’s first 2 albums certified classic
Any album by Tribe or De La Soul, I just never got down with their music.
Nah this is insane.
@@prettytone2089 I know but I came in the game heavy on West Coast and early down south music like Rap A Lot and Suave House, their stuff just didn't hit the same way to me.

Carter 2 is mid and Lil Wayne is extremely overrated...
Or maybe bc you hate him
No Myke means no HOV slander much appreciated 🫡
👀
I wish Mike was here for this, he would have been great.
Here are some of my controversial takes:
50 Cent doesn’t have a classic album. I don’t get what’s special about him. He’s not very lyrical or interesting to me.
Lil Wayne is overrated. He has talent but he’s annoying and has some super corny puns.
Method Man Tical could have been better.
Liquid Swords is an incredible album but the song BIBLE is trash. The beat is weak (and I’m a huge Ohio players fan btw) and the lyrics sound like an 80 year old Bill Cosby telling you to pull up your pants and telling girls not to wear short skirts.
I like Scaring The Hoes but I can’t get into Danny Brown because his voice sounds like a homeless crackhead screaming at the voices in his head.
Childish Gambino should stick to singing.
Regardless of how you feel about 50, GRODT is definitely a classic. You don’t have to be the best lyricist to make a classic album. If you don’t like it, you don’t like it and that’s fine. Do you also not think Doggystyle or The Chronic are classic albums?
@@mistahmstWhat is your definition of a classic album? I’d say it’s one that has stood the test of time, was important for its time, and you’d recommend novice fans listen to it. I’m personally a huge fan of The Chronic and Doggystyle but I think they have better production value than GRODT and they birthed an entirely new style of Rap. They wrote the blueprint for the sound of West Coast HipHop. I can understand if somebody likes Get Rich but I can’t get into the beats very much and 50’s style doesn’t impress me either. He showed a lot of promise on how to rob, and I definitely like some of his songs like 21 Questions and Hate It or Love It, but overall GRODT doesn’t do it for me and it’s a classic for some people, but I would recommend other albums from the early 2000s and don’t every try to revisit it. I think 50 is a funny guy and very entertaining when he’s talking, but I prefer other rappers when it comes to music, but keep in mind, I’m very biased towards 90s rap specifically.
@@Dog-999i my criteria for classic albums is pretty much the same as yours and I’d say GRODT checks all those boxes. There are a few songs that are a bit dated, but it still holds up overall. I thought the production was great for the most part and 50 fit those beats perfectly. It’s the perfect balance of raw and gritty while still being commercially accessible and catchy, which few rappers have really been able to pull off. I honestly can’t think of many hip-hop albums (mainstream or underground) from the 2000s to present day that are better.
Grodt is certified classic no way around it
