  • Today I will be giving you an overview of my new (to me) 2021 Harley Davidson Freewheeler. This is something I have been considering for some time and the right deal finally came along. Check out the video and see what led up to this purchase.
I ride a 2000 Harley Davidson (HD) Road King FLHR and now a 2021 Harley Davidson Freewheeler as well. The Old Bike (Road King) and I take road trips of long distances and some rides that stay within the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area to cruise around town. I will sprinkle in some “man shed” talk about upgrades to the Old Bike as well as conversations about my “motorcycle wish list”.
I keep it simple: I ride a motorcycle and this channel is about motorcycles because that is what I like to talk about. I love my Road King which obviously gives me a Harley bias, but I like all kinds of motorcycles and previously owned a Can Am Spyder, so respect will be shown to all brands and types of motorcycles and riders, even if the motorcycle isn’t my favorite.
…also for great motorcycle content, check out HDVIBE. He provides riding techniques, installs, and great riding footage.

Hey BIG GUY, love the fact that you removed the tail pipe situation! Making them "flush" with the trunk looks so much better (less sloppy, and, not "left over parts from from the junk bin")! Remember to take care of it, and, it will take care of you when you need it to! She'll make sure you're NOT stranded in "boonies-ville" where there is Nothing for miles on end. Thank you! Lol, I was trying to find a nice way to say that I didn't like the pipes sticking out. I think on 2 wheels, the pipes sticking out looks better, but of course, it is all personal taste. Godspeed.

Thank you, Sir. The odd thing is that the camera makes it seem like a darker blue. In person, you can see more of the teal color than what the video shows. Godspeed

Congrats on the new bike. I hope you and your wife really enjoy it. That's awesome that you got to keep the Road King.

Thank you very much! I even considered a trike kit as a last resort, but knew that wasn't my ideal choice. Godspeed

Ive got a 2022 and I put a Vector fairing on it with the 5 inch windshield. I just ordered the 10 inch because I didn't like the wind hitting me in the face! You got a nice bike there! I bought mine brand new last year and never heard from the salesman or them one time!

Yeah, that is what I expected, was to sign the papers and they change the number, but this time was different. Congrats on the 2022. Godspeed

I went to a Harley trike. My knees are shot and need to be replaced in the next few years. I could trust my leg to hold up a my road glide limited with the wife on the back. I had dropped the bike 3 times and that was enough. I like it.

Indeed, I enjoy the trike, but I'm not a "hard-core" guy, so trikes and Can-Ams have always been cool by me even if I personally didn't want one. Though I've only seen it a couple of times, seeing a guy tip over at a stop with his lady on the back is a BIG fear for me...so I eliminated that fear with the freewheeler, lol. Godspeed

Nice ride looking forward to getting a Trike. My wife will not ride on my Softail

Yeah, while it has only been a couple of months now since we've owned it, my wife is asking about the next ride we will take pretty often. I think you can get some pretty good deals on the trikes and even trike kits, if that is an option for you. Although I will say, the tri-glide seems to hold pretty steady on the price range even with the older ones. Godspeed

I like the flush pipes better. I'm glad to see a batwing is adaptable to the Freewheeler. I would love to see your wife's perspective as a passenger. What kind of mileage is she comfortable doing?

My wife and I have only done local rides to this point. We have a kiddo, and that combined with my abnormal work schedule has made it difficult to plan rides that we can't do while my daughter is at school. We are working on a couple of trips for the spring, though. Also, we have changed sissy bars a couple of times trying to get the best comfort for her. She always says how comfortable she is, but as you know, comfort at 50 miles is not the same at 200 miles, lol. Godspeed
