    I used to make wire trees years ago but they needed so much wire I gave up. I like your way much better. The trunk looks incredibly realistic because of the foil. Thank you for the tutorial.

    I was thinking about doing a artifical bonsai myself but decided to do a quick search on youtube before. I would never have thought about the aluminum foil! Great video!!!

    I wanted to make a Japanese Garden Fairy Bowl, and I wanted a bonsai tree for it. But they are far two expensive for my Social Security. I am 77 years old. So I got on the Internet and found your tutorial, so I decided to try making one. It isn't great, but I like it.

    First off, the tree looks great!! I can't believe it is made from such simple materials. Second, the pencil shavings technique for moss is so much cheaper than buying bags of lichen!! I"m going to try this one, thanks.

    Nicely done again! I gotta say, most the time I just watch you make things, instead of doing them myself, but I am considering doing this one. Either way, always fun to watch creativity in action.

    That is so awesome. I love bonsai trees. :) I have made smaller wire armatures like that before for clay projects. I would need a lot more foil to do one that size so thankfully it is readily available. ;)

    Absolutely adore all the creativeness and ways how to do them. So hooked to your channel. Always learn something new or different techniques on how do something in specific. The stuff you make, it's a true gift and incredible talent 😻💕👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻 very inspirational! 😃💕 Definitely planning to do this for my mum for her birthday. Hopefully all goes well! I must ask, however, what does "flush it out" mean? Love that expression but never heard it before (we use different expressions in the UK aha) xx

    • @epicfantasy
      @epicfantasy  8 лет назад

      THanks for the kind words and for following my channel. I am having fun :) You have fun making one of these for your Mum."Flush it out" means to add more, make fuller, fill in empty spaces.

    Did you put the alluminium foil on the smaller one ? Or did you just painted the wire directly ? Thank you for your kindness

    • @epicfantasy
      @epicfantasy  10 лет назад

      The smaller one is coated with modpodge then just painted. You can just paint it.

    one question though, I didn't understand what you're sprinkling on the base of the second bonsai, that green, almost powdery stuff, what's that? Thanks =)

    Lovely work! Kindly help me out with the following details.
    1. What is the thickness of the thick and the thin wires?
    2. Can newspaper do instead of aluminium foil? Which other material can we use instead?
    3. I did not get that which paint have you used for highlights of the trunks?

    Is it possible to make a frosted type of Bonsai Tree for a winter feeling? A few years back I was an avid Dungeons and Dragons Miniature collector but I have gotten rid of most of them save my Dragon figures and a few others, I wanted to make a Bonsai Scene with some of my White Dragon figures, do you have any ideas?

    • @epicfantasy
      @epicfantasy  11 лет назад

      This is a wonderful idea! Yes, they sell artificial snow you can do the tree without leaves then sprinkle/glue the snow onto it. You can also use baby powder as the snow. I think this would look great. I have a tutorial here somewhere called the changing tree diorama where I go through the seasons with the tree.

      Any kind of craft foam, or florist foam, even regular styrofoam will be ok. You can even wad up a ball of newspaper really tight and masking tape it.
