- Outward has a secret trog merchant who sells rare items and powerful potions. This is a complete guide on where to look for her and how to free her from captivity. You should always do this before entering the dungeon so you can have a merchant to sell inside the massive labyrinth.
Outward is an RPG/survival game that allows you take to make an almost infinite number of builds. Melee, magic, archery, and even traps are scattered across this harsh world in the form of skills. You must have a large amount of money to purchase these skills, but luckily the monsters drop extremely valuable items. The game has been harshly criticized due to how realistic and difficult it is. Feel free to subscribe and watch me beat the crap out of some crazy monsters.

The Trog Merchant sells Wolf Medic Armor and Wolf Mage Armor. She either has a small stock of goods or a large stack. If she does not show up for you just leave buy the train and come back again. I got her to spawn quite regularly.
These videos are making my Outward experience. Thank you so much!
Oh my gosh... I only ever found her after Rust and Vengeance and never knew she was a vender. This would have helped a lot with Rust and Vengeance.
Hey sheen! I am a new subscriber, and I don't comment all that often on things. I did want to take the time and say great content man. Your videos are very well put together, and you do a great job of breaking things down for people. I just got into Outward and your content has helped me get an understanding of the game.
You even have me watching all your videos, and I don't even play dark souls or eldenring. Keep up the great work, I hope to see the channel keep growing.
Thank you for watching the videos! I appreciate the support and am happy you enjoy my content. I think Outward has a lot of stuff that can be hard to understand. Especially the puzzles as there are a lot of them in dungeons. I am glad my guides have been of some help to you and hope you continue to enjoy the game!
Not sure about Definitive Edition but on oldward each dungeons location is a separate merchant inventory, meaning multiple instances of purchasing whatever you may potentially need to grind off her. Get stacks of goodies in just a few train rides if you have the silver. Currently using her to stack up on varnishes for other builds
I will have to try this out on the DE outward and I will let you know
True for old outward and DE. Each location treats the merchant as a different NPC that may or may not appear.
I'm finally exploring this region so this was really useful
Just FYI, the Kazite dude will not drop the key unless you already freed her from the Troglydyte lair. If you already killed him, he will respawn after you free her from that lair on the mana lake, even if the zone hasn't reset yet.
Hey dude I know it's a couple years old but I'm asking bc info on outward is far a few in between. And these have been cool to watch
I like to beat things with no look ups then go back and see what I missed. And I'm proud of myself bc I found more than I thought I would but still a lot I wouldn't had if not for these . Well anyways to question . How much info on outward 2 do you have I know you've already made one video but if you had any more news on it can you make a new one
I will definitely make more videos when the time comes. Right now Outward 2 is in pre alpha so lots of work still left to do before we get another update even. But rest assured you will hear about it new info pops up.
Cool stuff!
so this trog also has the wolf mage armor set, the whole thing ... thats a hard set to find. not just for the helmet, the body armor and boots are excellent after enchantments man. im doing this quest right meow trying to get it. thats one set i had no idea about, and the trainer in Harmatten that has the Prismatic flurry weapon skill for fists , is wearing it. I WANTS IT
She is the best source of tourmaline as well. Great for rare armor sets and stocking up on enchantments. One of the best mini-quests in the game simply because it is very mysterious as to why this trog is so intelligent and why she is locked up.
Very helpful guide thanks again *yah boi 👍
Awesome! Hope you can get that armor soon!
That left side door is now closed when entering that dungeon. Protected by runes or something. Rust and Vengeance quest is needed now.
Yes you will need to start Rust and Vengeance to do this. HOWEVER, I think there is a bug because sometimes the runes just aren't there even when I have not started the quest. This has happened on several occasions.
@@SheenShots Thanks man. You have been a great help with your vids.I have the Compaswood staff, experimental chakram, lightmenders lexicon. And almost went for a Hex-Philo-Rune build. That's crazy. Went for Hex-Philo-Shaman instead. Are you still playing this? I love this game. Seems different than other games. I don't know why. Seems almost a magical attraction to it.
Probably locked up for stealing all that merch. Everyone's gotta hustle.
Found this guide cause I'm looking for her right now lol. Did the sorobean rust lich once before and had no idea there was a train merchant. So many tiring trips back to town for nothing lol
I did the same. There were no good guides on how to free her before so I never did it. Now of course I have one so I do it every time lol.
@@SheenShots how do I open the door...
also the inventory and design of this merchant changes after faction quests
Great way to get some decent potions!
@@SheenShots true
> go through the back of harmattan
> go to the bottom right
lol. can't you just use cardinal directions? there's already a huge compass UI plastered on the screen.
I never do really. The map itself has a bottom and top so its the same thing. I don't see how North South East West is any easier than Left Right top bottom. A few people have brought this up to me, but its just semantics at that point.
@@SheenShots coz those north, east, south, west, etc.. are still applicable even outside of map mode. when you're actually playing the game in 3rd person. north will always be north, regardless of your camera orientation.
ie : when you say "back of harmattan" that's a relative term based on which door you enter. if you enter from the south, then "back of harmattan" is the north gate, and vice versa.
if you enter from the north gate, then "back of harmattan" would sound like the southern gate.
@@nowherefool5869up will always be north, he’s referencing the map, it just requires a slight logical process to understand 🤨
