4:47 i just pictured myself standing across from him as he said that and i pictured just leaning in and hugging him and telling him that i’d do anything to protect him even if it means getting hurt. Derek is one of my few comfort characters and it made me a little sad. Idk if it’s just me

He’s been my comfort character since I’ve first watched the show both him and tyler but he is more like a comfort person. But like i have a connection that i can not explain with derek. He has been through hell and he is always strong but u can see the pain in his eyes
He helped me find strength when i felt like everything was over. I can write a whole essay if I start. But i just wanna cry in his arms where i feel safe and tell him a big ass thank u for everything. He deserves everything and more recognition he is a misunderstood character!
