@@mariii__881 yeah but how would that work? It would make more sense to be a weapon which can grab enemies and hold them while damaging them
Possibly with the claw slowly opening and releasing the enemy and you have to wait for the claw to reach full extension to grab another opponent

The mob vote would be so much better if they added mobs as fun and engaging the way like knarfy does

The crab claw feels like a trap to me. Extended reach in building sounds nice, but it only applies to placing blocks, not breaking them, so if you place a block wrong you have to get closer in order to fix it. On top of that, it's another item to put in your already limited inventory, so, overall, I think if it gets in most builders won't even end up using it. I want to like it, but it doesn't feel like it will be nearly as useful as we want it to be.
I think it's going to be like Scaffolding where people thought it wouldn't be useful because of its requirements and it ended up being very useful
Well they just confirmed the crab claw also extends hit reach, which is very ideal for combat. They can also be bred with kelp according to the new info

When the crab turns, the big claw changes sides and it isn’t just the aristocrab from pikmin
if you can code item frames to hold more items, you can make a world map and and mark a crab boss with the crab item

honestly the fact that 1° the claw is smaller in the offhand 2° you can put them in your head and hands and 3° they wave, are all very fun features, that i would love to see in the base game but they are probaly not gonna do that.
