*Literally did a stream where I leveled this up to 40, it's an underrated gun, yet pistols are just super underpowered. I agree certain characters do make this gun viable*
people haven’t got to the point where they are making full loadouts, rather building 1 character and 1 gun, which is why pistols seem underrated. Optimal all-rounder builds would have 1 pierce, 1 burst, 1 crush weapon, and the highest dps guns in the game such as nazeistra and python or burst. I run the python for burst, silly weeper for crush, and Guardian R4 for pierce. I would run the nazeistra but then i would be running double burst, which is unnecessary. Pistols serve as a general rounds pierce weapon, which would allow me to have a loadout where nazeistra is my main dps weapon, but when the boss has parts that take extra damage to pierce to break like swamp walker legs, i have a pistol or a launcher to deal with it.
Once we get even harder content than gluttony, with parts that take a longer time to break, those 10% damage increases vs enemies weak to crush, pierce, or burst will be important. Content is easy right now so it just doesn’t seem like it matters for now

You watched the part where i showed it did more than everyone favourite weapon, right?
The Sad truth is, all of the Ultimate weapon seem absolutely nuts in their own way, but to really get them to shine, you need to get that unique ability to level 4.

It's a bit funny to me, because I noticed on the Wave of Light that the % crit on it's 2 second ability seems to be an additive. Which means you have about 6 shots of 55% base crit rate when you reload, then you throw on some crit mods, and you are just dropping something like 600k damage on Pyromaniac hard in 2 seconds with it, reloading after 6 shots and dumping 600k more. (Mine is half built) So your critique on people overlooking things is totally fair. I could imagine with Valby instead of my Jayber with supply moisture that Wave might be a monster.
So it's good for over killing adds. I'll keep that in mind if content with hard adds ever comes out.

Thanks for the video, was very informative and the build looks fun. So many people dismiss weapons because they dont have big numbers and I also see lots of people dismiss the ultimate guns because their dps is matched by purple weapons too. Dps is not everything in these games, you can have utility, you can have synergy, and you can have FUN as well. As for the "Its bad against a collosus" argument, you can use different guns, you can use abilities, you can have 3 guns at once, any of those can be used. Mobbing is still a massive part of the game as well as clearing dungeons, and boss fights are not indicative of the entire game. Good vid, well earned like.
im a blair main, and ive really gotten into the "you are a mage" theme. so im using the final masterpiece, the last dagger, and nazeistras devotion.
its a decent loadout, and i can keep my movement speed at 100% permanently
I don't like a weapon that becomes viable only if a player uses a very specific character.
My best weapon would be something like the Secrete Garden, The Enduring Legacy, or Greg's Reverse Fate, and Thunder Cage which are powerful guns regardless who's using them.
Can that final shot be infinite ammoed with Gley?
They made the sweeping squad gun that can put on a sweeping squad mod
I've been using this gun since the beginning simply for the reload animation. Highest catalyst weapon I have, always will be.
I think Restored Relic might be slept on? I get the feeling that it could be a monster when you fully max out the ability.

I’m only 2 minutes in so far, but you’re absolutely right. People don’t test things and assume if it doesn’t have a high number it’s not doing good damage. I’ve seen this with all the hate people give Luna. Super strong character that people won’t even try bc “streamer said she’s bad”
She doesn’t have good damage and her kit is super annoying to play…. I’ll take one on my team anyday but I will not play her a single second after getting her to 40 lol
Best gun for Gley. I can keep elites and dungeon bosses stun locked
Guns in my eyes are such a marginal part in this game, aside from the top picks that are still situational, everybody just runs Enduring Legacy (or Tamer), Nazeistra or Perforator, and finally Afterglow.
Adds evaporate and dungeons can be fully cleared with just abilities on a mediocre build ( I run an Ultimate Bunny with just 1 slot catalized), if a gun is not the top tier for melting an interceptor it's not even considered worth picking, the only reason ppl run other guns (and still kill with abilities) is to level them and get Mastery progress.
Isn't this is a big issue for this game? Shouldn't Nexon at least buff unique abilities to the roof to make guns compete against abilities?

I've been a last dagger enjoyer since the launch, but you're doing everyone a disservice comparing it to the tamer since it has awful critical scaling and is only good when comparing weapons with low investment. Compare it to the Enduring Legacy instead if you wanna do a machinegun that's also good with crit. I'm not saying The Last Dagger is bad, I love it and it's pretty good, it's just nowhere near the damage output of other crit-friendly good weapons.
I compared it to Tamer to: 1) Stir the pot. People are so fixated on what their favourite youtuber said that they do not go out and test things.
2) People are still saying Tamer is best no matter what. This video highlights that different weapon workd better in different scenarios.
3) Tamer is not Meta.
So i assume defeating enemy actually requires you to get a lethal shot with a gun? you cant just kill bunch of small mobs with abilities and get stacks and use the enhanced bullet for like an elite or something?
The killing blow must be from the weapon.

A boss fight would be cool to see

Dooooodnesssssss - i want a new metric for measuring damage... damage over X seconds... X being 5 or 8 seconds. so something like the last dagger may need to reload twice, where something like the tamer may not need to reload....
Sustained DPS. Metric already exists.

Sharen, Can chain Stun enemies as well as geta x 2 multiplier on the big shot if needed.
Gley, for infinite ammo and spam stacking due to penetration.

Still like my Devotion better. Hitting 600k-1million per shot and haven't even maxed. You want the Enduring Legacy over the Tamer for crit.
