Andrea, hi 👋 i have a question: how can I buy for one month only? I want to try them first and see if they work. But it seems like I only have the choice to buy every month, or three months or six months. I don't want my card to be charged automatically. Help, please and thank you 😊
@@Rafaela20242hi, I was wondering the same. If you read further down in the description it says there is the option to cancel at any time. You would probably want to order the one month supply and then cancel before the month is over.
I just found you a couple of days ago. I am 61 years old. My children are in their early thirties and late twenties. They are all out of the house. Enjoy this time with your children! I was a stay at home Mom and loved the same things you do! You are a breath of fresh air! God Bless you! Stay true to yourself.
Thank you so much! 😊
Lilacs are my favorite as well. The scent is calming. There is something about their structure that is peaceful. True, they do not last once cut, but you can dry them and put them in a jar. Add them to potpourri or top a burning candle to get subtle hints of lilac💕
This video is what I needed. We just watched our daughter graduate high school and I’m so proud of her but it’s hard. It’s not just that but my daddy passed unexpectedly three and half years ago and there has been so much change. Her graduation was weird. I feel like I just graduated school myself. I came home and thought I need to watch something and decompress and your video was my pick. It was so enjoyable. 😊
My husband & I just spent 10 days in Ireland for our 40th anniversary. I was so reminded of your home and the charm of the way you decorate when we were in homes there. I was able to thrift several items to bring home. I love the style of your home and the way if feels so welcoming and homey.
What a sweet husband to get those clippings for you. The Lilacs are so beautiful! One of my favorite smells 💜 I'm looking forward to working in the yard. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you! 😊
You are my new peace of mind at work in my Beats Earbuds. Your voice is soothing and calm and I have learned to budget by thrifting beautiful pieces. I have also learned to RELAX & CALM DOWN. I am engineer and outside of work, my kids and home is what makes me so happy. So stumbling across your channel through my DIY researching has been such a pleasure.🙌🏽🥰
I grew up in Ohio and the Lilacs is my all time favorite. I have lived in Georgia for the past 35 years and unfortunately you can’t have lilacs down here because it doesn’t get cold enough in the winter, but I have fallen in love with the gardenias and I do love azaleas and hydrangeas are beautiful in spring and summer. ❤❤❤
I live in north central Ohio and our growing/blooming season began a but early for us this year, first I had about 5 varieties of daffodils, mixed with red and yellow tulips, then had lavender lilacs come in, and now I have bright pink double centered "peonies" or as my grandmother called them "pineys". These were all here when we moved in 6 years agao, but some are just beginning to really come into bloom in the past couple of years... as for perennials, when we moved in I bought a clematis vine, and I have planted a sedum called autumn joy, and t=in some parts of the country they are called "rain downs" because they planted them at corners of their homes where the rain gutters drained...They have a purple flower that you can bring in and dry and they make a lovely floral in the winter. We also planted variegated hostas.... I want to plan so much more for my yard..... but it takes time
I was blessed to be home with my children when they were little. I enjoyed it so much! They grow so quickly, it is such a precious few years. You are a girl after my own heart for sure. I love home making as well. Your home and yard are lovely! My husband loves strawberry rhubarb crisp and pie! Enjoy! ❤
I heard the way you keep a plant from taking over, is to plant it in a pot and plant the pot in the ground. This only works if the plant spreads thru underground roots, not from above the soil. I haven't had the chance to try it, but I hear it works.
Try using cardboard to suppress weeds. I’ve used it and it’s a game changer! In my experience it’s better than weed fabric. Your yard is beautiful and idyllic.
My soulmate has been gone now for 23 years...but the look on his face when he got home and smelled something I baked ,was worth every minute I spent making it. He got home late and would always have a big glass of milk and a treat before bed. Your lilacs are beautiful, inside and out. I would love to be able to clip from my garden .
Thank you for sharing that! 😊
When I was a florist, for the more woodier stems we would recut the stem and then cut up into the end of stem so the bottom was split - do this just before putting in the vase. This, I was told, lets more water up into the stem. The two garden beds up by the gate would be so beautiful! Oh and for the dryer vent maybe placing a piece of statuary in front of it would deflect some of the heat so you could plant in front of it then.
Thanks so much! 😊
I love how calming your voice is ❤
☺️
Lovely, as always! What a beautiful outdoors you've created as well as indoors!
That’s awesome you’re reusing the slate outside!
Such a beautiful video! Your home and gardens are havens of happiness and joy! 💜💜
Oh, I miss lilacs! Last year during a storm, my neighbor lost a BIG branch off his tree, and it fell into my lilac bush. My husband cut it way back, and it had a lot of new growth on it this year but no flowers. Hoping next year I get some. I agree, they never last long-just like my Lily of the Valley-which smell so good, too!! I just love Spring. Everything is blooming and green! While I love Summer, the heat can turn the grass a bit dry and not look as lush and I don't have a lot of flowers that bloom during that season. Good thing my crops are usually being harvested!
Such a beautiful home and yard!!! Your family is beautiful as well! Delicious crisp I’m sure!!!
Yummy! Just so tranquil! Love all of your work!
Lilacs are my favorite! They were my momas favorite! ❤️
Lilacs and peony’s are must in my house during springtime.
Same here!
Your yard is just an absolute dream 💗 You guys have created something that is just so beautiful and peaceful ☺️
Very beautiful vibes ❤ thank you ❤
My hostas and ferns love it around my dryer vent, as a matter of fact they are bigger there than any other area around our house.
You can get lilacs to last longer if you split the cut stem up the middle a few inches and smack them to flatten out just a little. It’ll help the intake of water. Lilacs peonies and tulips are my favorites but I can’t grow tulips. Squirrels and rabbit and deer love them😂
Dear Andrea, you are such a blessing to your family and to us viewers. I thoroughly enjoy your calm nature and the love you put into everything ..like me!😊 ❤🇨🇦🇩🇪sending you love !
A beautiful video and the dessert looked so yummy! My mother always made a rhubarb coffee cake that was delicious!
Placing a bird bath that comes just above the dryer vent is a good idea”hide” for the vent.
Hello Andrea. I am a new subscriber enjoying your videos. Lilacs are my favorite flower also. I am originally from Rochester NY where the annual Highland Park Lilac Festival showcases over 1200 lilac bushes. I recently moved to Maine and how serendipitous that our yard came with a beautiful large deep purple lilac bush! Your home is beautifully decorated with taste and style.I enjoyed the outdoor tour, so pretty and peaceful. I appreciate all the effort you put into your videos.
I think we all love lilacs so much is because there is a very short window in which to enjoy them. Other favourites are tulips and daisies!
I agree! 😊
hey girl- love the video!😀😉 such pretty flowers. Y'all have done a great job on your back yard- Looks so good!😁👍and that crisp looks amazing- yummy😋always enjoy seeing the boys- oh so cute!😊y'all have a blessed weekend🥰
Wow! What a beautiful yard you have! That’s exactly what I picture as a yard you’d see in heaven. Absolutely gorgeous!😊
Hi Andrea, I loved seeing the outside of your home so thank you for sharing that. When I was a kid, my Aunt had so many Lilacs. It was like a privacy fence. My father used to cut some off and put them on our kitchen table. Trouble is whenever I was drinking milk, it tasted like lilacs which I didn’t like. Working outside is a never ending task. You pull weeds, cut grass, plant flowers and water them. This year we are getting plenty of rain so we don’t have to water. Best part of the video was the shot with you and your boys. Thank you so much for posting this.
Thank you! 😊
What a sweet home and yard! I love lilacs and their wonderful fragrance. One of my favorites to bring inside along with roses and peonies.
I'm behind on watching videos as I have been babysitting grands for 10 days. House is all clean, laundry done so I am treating myself to your video!! Such a relaxed, calm video....thank you!!! I love your outdoor space and all of your plants. The scent of lilacs takes me back to my childhood!! Thank you for sharing your recipe!! God bless you and your family!!
Your yard is absolutely beautiful love all the shrubs and flowers. I definitely will be making the berry crisp as I have rhubarb growing in my yard.
We have 2 lilacs dark and light purple. Those and my hydrangea are my favorites.
I love Seed. I’ll be getting more as I’m been out of it .
Lilacs are my favorite next to roses and lilac purple is my favorite color
The stepping stones look lovely!
Thank you! 😊
I love lilacs too! I need to get me a lilac bush....had one but hubby decided to trim it and it doesn't bloom anymore....so sad! Loved to have them in the house! All the yard renovations will look beautiful. I especially liked your idea of the beds on each side of the walkway! That would look exceptional!
Hi Andrea, I completely agree with you about the lilacs. I’ve grown my own cut flowers for the past few years. Ever since, store-bought flowers almost seem sterile and boring! There is a wildness to flowers that is lost in the way that they harvest for mass sales. Beautiful ❤
What a fun vid! Thanks for sharing! We are working on outside project all weekend so watching this video was inspiring!:)
I’m so glad!! 😀
Yes, I have two vases full of white and purple lilacs. One on the table and one in the living room. They smell sooo good!
I have a lilac bush that belonged to my mom and she got the start for it from my grandmother. It is very special to me! I pick a few to bring in every year and a few to take a bouquet to my daughter ❤
Thanks so much for sharing your crisp recipe! I had some rhubarb and strawberries, that I needed to use up. I just put it in the oven and it smells amazing! We will definitely be serving warm with vanilla ice cream!
Lilacs are my favorite spring flower!! Ours got hit with a late freeze this year so I missed out. Yours (and your friend’s) are absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you! 😊
Peonies and magnolias blossoms are my Spri g favorites.
I like the stepping stones in the yard looks nice. I see you kept the heart that you thrifted still on the garage wall looks good there. Have a nice Memorial Day weekend!
Thank you😊
I love this video! Your home, yard, gardens, and dessert are so beautiful! We live in Texas where it’s already in the 80’s and 90s. The hostas here don’t grow quite that large, but are still gorgeous. In the spring, I love to bring in Indian paintbrush, coreopsis, and wisteria. We are in north East Texas, and so bluebonnets are not as prevalent here. But we enjoy what we have for as long as we can. Thank you for sharing, God Bless, and Happy Spring!! 🌺
Thank you! 😊
My Lilac is a bright vibrant PINK color...I love it! Reminds me of my childhood home... Yours may be: "Syringa Blue Skies" variety...it is beautiful!
Enjoyed xbeautifl flowers and delicious desert.
Thank you! 😊
Tina from to mini's house we go, planted hydrangeas in front of her dryer vent, and they love it there
This was such a beautiful video. Your home and yard is just stunning, a beautiful cottage oasis. I love lilacs too, they smell so lovely. The picture of you and your boys on the hammock was priceles. Bless you and your family 😊✝️
Thank you! 😊
So beautiful! I can’t wait to try the crisp with all the wild blackberries we have coming up😊
Thanks! 😊
I used to live in Lansing MI. I loved the lilacs in late May. We got married on Mackinac Island many years ago and it just so happened that it was during the lilac festival! The Island was gorgeous. Been back many times there. In fact we went last June and made sure it was the week of the annual lilac festival. It was so gorgeous! I live in South Carolina now and we do miss the Michigan summers! Not the winter ha ha.😊
Your lilacs and that redbud tree are gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
Wonderful yard Andrea . I know you are so blessed. Enjoy that yummy crisp dessert.
Thank you! 😊
Hi there. I planted lavender by my dryer vent. When I had the dryer on it wafted the scent of lavender around which was beautiful! The lavender thrived there too xx
I really enjoy your channel. I wish we had a lilac bush as I love the way they smell. I have two peony bushes and I just love them. They don't last very long. When they start to bloom, I know that spring is finally here. I love making bouquets for my dining room table and my bedroom!
I’m glad you enjoy it! 😊
You bring so much comfort and joy to my mundane days. I gravitate to your belief and ways of bringing life to our everyday life. Have a blessed Memorial Day weekend. Marilyn from Michigan.❤🙏🏻
Thank you so much for such kind words! 😊
Just tried the vinegar salt dish soap weed killer recently, worked great.
Your yard looks amazing. I love to bring my roses and hydrangeas in. I have knock out roses and just love them. As always I just love your beautiful home.
Thank you! 😊
My mother had lilacs in our yard. It was her favorite family only come out in May. She always told us to pick them because the more you picked the next year and more will blow.
Your flowers and trees are so beautiful 😍 and the dessert looks delicious 😋 ❤
Thanks! 😊
Beautiful yard ♥️🌺
Such a sweet sweet family 🙏🏽
Thank you! 😊
Hello, enjoyed your video, gorgeous years. I love lilacs I planted a lilac bush last year. I love daisies, hydrangeas, I have some of those too. Take care, hope to see you soon.
I started smiling the instant I saw you had a video!!! ❤ Everything is beyond glorious!!! You are abundantly blessed!!! I have a Miss Kim Lilac next to my front porch and it smells divine! ❤
Thank you so much! 😊
@@PineandProspectHome you’re so welcome! 🥰
Good morning Andrea! Your Lilacs are gorgeous! Sorry, here in Louisiana I haven't seen Lilacs, but we do have Magnolias and Hydrangeas and the are simply exquisite! Your yard is gorgeous and I bet the scent is heavenly! Have a wonderful, blessed weekend! 🙏🤍
Thank you! 😊
Your yard is so nice Andrea , I just love lilacs, they smell so good and are so beautiful in a cottage garden. Love the recipe ….my husband loves strawberries in a dessert, I’ll have to make it. I love homemaking too and creating beauty …it’s just so fulfilling. Many blessings to you and your family.
Thank you! 😊
The stepping stones are perfect💜
Thank you! 😊
Love this warm and inspiring video! Thanks for creating these calming videos.
For those raised bed spots, if you are looking for a low maintenance plant, German chamomile is delicate, beautiful, so so easy, and can be harvested for tea. I would highly recommend it!
Blessings!
Thank you so much! 😊
Good morning Andrea, what a beautiful video I could almost smell the lilacs 🪻. We are blessed to have 2 Lilacs in our yard so I look forward to bringing them in the house every spring. They usually bloom in Massachusetts around Mother's Day which is so lovely to bring that beautiful scent in our home at that time. Have a wonderful day.
That sounds wonderful for Mother’s Day! 😊
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LILACS ! BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL ❤
Me too!! 😊
Here in CA my three redbuds are all done flowering and have their leaves now. I love them. My dryer vent does not harm any of my plants. I want to see your garden at least every month if not every week!
Haha I’ll try to share often! 😊
I never tried it before but I was told to the hammer the ends of the lilacs and split it opened and then put them in water they will last a little bit longer
Thank you! I’ll try that next year! 😊
Enjoyed so much 😅
Weeds in rocks are the worst. We have a large area in our yard that we put barrier down then rocks on top about 20 years ago. We now have so many weeds we either need to remove the rock to remove the weeds and put the rock back or spray the weeds with killer. Both options are not good. The crisp looks amazing. Thanks for the inspiration and recipe.
Ahh. The arrival of spring is so great after a long winter! Any of the mints-peppermint, spearmint, lemon balm (aka melissa), etc.-would grow easily. The only problem would be keeping them from spreading too much, like your mallow does. But…you’d have such lovely tea options and they make beautiful little fragrant cuttings in the house.
Keep up the good work in the yard.
Thank you!😊
A miss lilacs! I grew up in mid Michigan and have lived in Florida for 45 years . No lilacs here. Have you thought of putting cardboard down on your grass, then your boxes. Have used cardboard several places around my yard to create new beds. I'm 72, and it saves digging up established sod. Lovely home, and your videos are always a blessing.
Lilacs are lovely indoors due to the scent, but you're right. They don't last long. Makes us appreciate them more. 🥰 As for the dryer vent. If you do lots of laundry, don't plant anything close to it. It will dry out the soil around the plants and the plants themselves. You could, however, put something in front of it to redirect the hot air in another direction. Your talented husband can figure something out, I'm sure. 🙂
One of my favorite videos of yours 💜 ive heard of u take a hammer to the ends of the lilac stems and take almost all the leaves off they will last longer as cut flowers! Love that u took us outside to see ur beautiful slice of paradise!
Thank you! 😊
The lilacs a gorgeous❤ I really like the stepping stones. My mom had several snowball bushes when i was growing up, right by the kitten window. I love your backyard, its so pretty❤ Mmmm that crisp dessert looks delicious😋 Thanks for sharing everything with us today!
Thank you! 😊
The lilacs are beautiful! We don't have them here in south Florida but our gardenia bushes are blooming. They make the house smell amazing!
There’s nothing like the smell they bring into a home! 😊
Your piece of land, you and your husband have created it to be so beautiful, peaceful and cozy. I looked forward to seeing your videos, l know that they are always giving inspirations.
Thank you so much! 😊
Thank you! 😊
I have a big lilac bush, soon to be a tree, ha! outside my front window. Beautiful. I agree, they don’t last near long enough. Yours are so pretty. I do think you are a little behind us here in Ohio.
I like lilac and daisy ❤
I LOVE LILAC, I have 9 of them in my garden, I love the scent, and love bringing them inside ,even for the short time they last.
Wow! How nice!! 😊
Your husband brought a lovely selection of lilacs!
Yes he did! 😊
Your yard looks like a park! It's gorgeous! ❤
Favorite is carnations , stocks and roses.
Wanted to let you know per one of your videos, you talked about Oak Island and Southhport, NC. We just returned from there. I had never heard about these places, so checked it out and went down there. We are from Indiana. Thank you for talking about these 2 places. Want to go back someday❤
I’m so glad! I love it there! 😊
Loooove lilacs!! With lilacs try smashing them with hammer or cut the stem in the middle lengthwise, so they can drink water better. Lilacs have woodsy stem and need lots of water and they don’t get enough when you just simply cut it like any other flower❤ love your channel!
Thank you! I will definitely try that! 😊
One thing we like to use for raised beds is Castle Rock stacking stone concrete blocks.. You can get them in several colors. The things I like about them is that, they dont. rot. I dont have to worry about anything leaching into the soil. I can move them if I dont like where they are at or the shape of bed.. (we do not cement ours in place for changes we make later). The other thing you might think about adding is a arch panel over the two beds at the side of path. that way you can grow lovely roses, clematis, or cup and saucer vines. Just some ideas. yes the stone is a bit more costly. but maybe you can find them on marketplace used.
😊 thank you
mrs meyers has limited edition lilac cleaner. smells like the real flower.
i just bought a flame weed killer. it's like a cane that you attach to a camping propane tank. i think it will be amazing to not have to bend down to kill weeds. your garden is so lovely.
Wow! Thanks for the info! 😊
Your lilacs are gorgeous. Ours already came and went over a month ago. But my hydrangeas have started blooming this week 😁
Thanks! 😊
Your house and yard are so beautiful.
Thank you! 😊
We have lilacs but I don’t have any. I pick hydrangeas and my roses to bring in the house. ❤
