    All of them are just LEC (League of Legends European Championship) casters, btw. And all these music videos they make just for fun (and to create hype around certain matches, usually during playoffs). European creative team truly leagues above everybody else.

    Hey,
    small note, the singers ARE the commentators in the game (just like Frosk). The music isn't generally used before the games, it's more so to create some hype before playoffs or certain team match ups. The reasons Fnatic was mentioned often - it's one of the best teams over the years with the biggest fandom.
    While it seems it wasnt in the playlist, there's one more song rap battle done, it's called "Rap Rivals - EU vs NA".
    Q: where do you know frosk from?

    • @Shavaaa

    Few things:
    1.) Those 2 Guys are Casters who made musicvideos for fun and became more and more professional over time
    2.) Rekkles with your heart is by far the best one if you understand the refferences. Rekkles was playing for FNATIC for i think 8 Years and was more or less the Face of FNATIC and this song talks about his move to G2 (Theire biggest rival). Its just a masterpiece but you have to understand the refferences to get it.
    My fav ones are 2020 Playoffs (because they predicted so much that actualy happened and its fire) and rekkles with my heart

      However to be pointed out that drakos is a very talented musician and rapper and at the start wrote a lot of the parts (in the more recent videos the other people started cowriting more of their rap parts)

    Best thing about this is they are not actual singers but commentators / casters. These song were made just to hype EU audience for matches (in the last one they had profesional singer / band)...

      Against the Current also did well Chrissy sang "Legends never Die" in 2017

  • @baxland2539
    @baxland2539 2 года назад +7

    Like many people before me already pointed out - they are all (except Chrissy Costanza from Wildfire which is profesional singer and partnered with riot for 2 projects before that already) amateurs. They are in-game shoutcasters for the league boardcast in europe and this was only their 'side project' you could say.
    Almost all the tracks include countless references to league itself which was once a main drive of those songs and rap battles but they have been slowly getting less 'inside jokes' humor into more actual serious music vibe (especially with Wildfire that im pretty sure doesnt include any league-specific references).

  • @mathies3598

    The reason that last song was so good was because it's the first time they got professional musicians to make a song with them Against the current & Chrissy Costanza previously worked with Riot on Legends Never Die and Phoenix.

    I recommend reacting to "THIS IS WAR" By Falconshield. Basically a League of Legends themed rap batlle/cypher with the champions rapping and taking turns. Semi lore focused but also a lot of pop culture and nerd stuff.

    Every time at least one EU team makes it out of worlds groups there's a montage with the wins while in the background the song "Euphoria" is played uploaded by some random YT channel.
    EUphoria is a tradition, just look it up on YT.

    fun fact about Wildfire, Against the Current asked Mako (a music producer for League) if he could help with a song and then Drakos (the rapper) and Vedius (the male singer) both helped in singing in the LEC version of this because theirs an actual different version of this song with just Against the Current, but all LEC people involved are casters for the European League of Legends series

  • @callumbarclay4471
    @callumbarclay4471 Год назад

    So some context all the singers apart from some in the last video we’re casters of the LEC at some point. Rekkless with my heart is biased around a player called Rekkless who left fnatic after play for them for 8 years. Also most of this was inspired by Vedius (the guy who rapped for Jinx in the Arcane video)

  • @prod.Sp0tSid3

    they are not even actual rappers/singers. All of them are casters/analysts for the league.

  • @F1rstWorldNomaD
    @F1rstWorldNomaD Год назад

    Rekkless with my heart isnt even about a team, its just about Rekkless as he decided to leave Fnatic.
    Rekkless is probably THE most recognizable player from the European league.
    I know people who doesnt even play league who know who he is, he is in a sense iconic.
    He played his entire career in Fnatic so when he decided to leave, that was a huge deal, it was something no thought would ever happen, Rekkless WAS Fnatic in many peoples mind.
    So that particular song isnt really about a team, its not even really about Rekkless, its about the fact that the impossible actually happened.

    I think that the biggest strength of these songs are the lyrics (They usually hit on 2-3 different levels) this is one of the reasons why Wildfire is not that recommended since it has probably the weakest lyrics.
    Though to be honest I always think to myself about LEC commentator recruitment:
    Recruiter: So... do you have any special talents?
    Commentator: Well I keep track of whats going on really well and I can talk real fast and am pretty funny
    Recruiter: What about Rapping? Singing? Maybe you can dance?
    Commentator: Ehhmmm what? :D
