Reducing Volume of a Bell 500 Telephone That's Too Loud

  • The Bell model 500 phone is a classic North American desk phone from about 1950 onwards. The problem is sometimes it's just too loud and piercing even if you turn down the volume to the minimum setting. With an easy fix you can make it much quieter and take the "edge" off the ring.
    In this video I show how this could be done on an original Bell Model 500 or on a modern reproduction like the red one I bought from Amazon.
    I don't give away Mr. Brown's secret identity though I do give hints if you watch to the end.

      LOL 😂. Yes, a crime fighter needs a good night’s sleep and freedom from random duct cleaning scam calls.
