Hi syv. Not sure if you have considered this yet. But have you noticed the similarities with the early books of the Old Testament (Bible). And the non christian canonical Book of Enoch?
Mentions Giants/Nephalim (children of Angels/stars/watchers) who gave technology/abilities to mankind. And subsequent massive flood.
Zunisha is extremely similar to the physical discription of the Behemoth and Emu could potentially be his fellow monster of chaos (of the ocean) the Leviathan.

She had a child with one of the other 20 kings, with the name Nerona.
Imu has appeared quite small on the throne, as you mentioned about their silhouette also their crown makes up most of their height.
Like Sugar they could be perpetually young, with the “eternal youth” being literal.
Edit: I saw you mentioned this in passing, but it’s something I had been wondering about for a while. The relationship doesn’t have to be romantic like many people are thinking.

Hey syv, had an interesting idea that I’m not sure if you’ve discussed yet but how much information do you think cipher pol agents (lower rank like 1-8) are briefed with when handling something as large as vegapunk investigating the poneglyphs regarding why they need to capture him. Another scenario is when Robin was captured during the enies lobby saga (disregarding the blackmail) but other than the fact that Robin was been wanted for being “dangerous” since being a child, do you think cp9 was ever briefed on the real reason considering its significance?

Love this conversation! I just wanted to point out, a lot of people missed this potential scenario, what if the Ancient Kingdom were the bad guys. I mean like in the way of how The World Government consists of the Celestial Dragons and Marines. There are good marines and people within the World Government. Or how Luffy and Blackbeard are both Pirates.
So, what Joy Boy was part of the faction of the Ancient Kingdom that was maybe against slavery or just coalition of races expressing freedom, so he had to take to the Seas in order to be free. Very much how it is in modern day One Piece. So, then the Joy Boy pirates and the 20 Kingdoms were either allies or two individual groups working towards the same goal. Kind of how the Revolutionary Army and the Blackbeard Pirates are both trying to bring down the World Government. So, The Ancient Kingdom was Kingdom consisting of both good and bad people. But either Joy Boy suffered a betrayal by the 19 Kingdoms or they simply took advantage of the power vacuum that ensued. And the 19 Families forgot what they originally were fighting for, freedom. This is evident in how many of the original islands that are now remnants of the 20 Kingdoms tend to have normal cultures with no slavery, well most of them.
I think this makes perfect sense from a literary pov. Because, it would be ironic if the 20 Kingdoms along with Joy Boy originally fought to free people from tyranny. only to become the thing they despised. It would make things very non black and white and a cautionary tale of not to let history repeat itself. And this is why everybody that learns the truth laughs; because the 20 Kingdoms fought on the same side of freedom, yet now, they are the exact oppressors they once fought so hard against.
Since the 5 elders might be actual yokai, tama might be able to tame them lol

The “ancient weapons” could have been genetically modified slaves of the “ancient/great kingdom”. Joyboy much like the legends of Nika may have liberated the slaves and took to the sea to return them home.
This would lead to him being labeled a traitor to the kingdom aka a pirate by the ancient kingdom.
But not just any pirate, but a pirate who held with him the three weapons they created that are powerful enough to destroy the world. Because of this they painted him as a threat to the world, which is how they were able to gather the other 18 kingdoms to their side.
In this theory Imu and the gorosei would be from the ancient kingdom. Would be kinda weird to me if joy boy ( the sun god ) and the gorosei ( the planets that revolve around the sun ) aren’t connected and from the same place.
I think yamato is already awakened. lucci and kaku basically confirmed that awakenings with zoans cause the soul ribbon and luffy confirmed they can appear in different colors. Im not sure why everyone assumes she isn't still.
