He seems a lot more comfortable this go around. After watching his interview with JJ Reddick, he’s very self aware on what he needs to improve on and what the team needs. I had my doubts but I’m ready to see how he will manage this year
Hope so. He definitely seemed insecure and defensive last season if I'm being honest -- it was hard to watch most of his interviews
I wonder if Marcus caused him some grief, too. Marcus can be brutally honest and could be very blunt. His voice was very loud, too and he was a long tenured player as well. That could be intimidating. Just my take.
He surpassed any and all expectations I had of him going into his season. We’re lucky to have landed such a young genius
I got a lot of love for Joe the balls and pressure it takes to become head coach of the Celtics he is doing well and i think we see a big jump this year in coaching
agreed. many people don't understand the brass it takes to be consistently under that much pressure and visibility. stacked plate at a young age with high expectations is no cake walk. he's had time to think and reflect, he also has a frame of reference to base his decisions off now and with a string coaching staff and executive leadership. Celtics are a world class organization and Brad Stevens is a Mastercraft at assembling talent.
That's really cool that it was Joe who initiated bringing back the '08 team to be an integral part of the Celtics. In particular, it was just awesome to see Pierce working out with Tatum during the duration of the offseason. Bringing in the guys who embraced Celtics pride in the past to play a part can only be positive for everyone on the roster currently.
