Well season 2 is a bit confusing sometimes. It jumped from a beautiful story about showing different tragedies from people's lives and sometimes fixing trauma and giving victims closure, to a super intense mystery villain plot that results in killing the only innocent, abused, disabled character for the sake of angst.
Same here, made me really sad for a moment. Especially when she said that she want go home and then was shoot. So much suffering during whole life and tragic end. Well, maybe thrd season will make us more happy.

I actually think it fits very well or at least thematically. I think the male voices are associated with Lu Guang's perspective as the finale recontextualizes every song we've heard thus far. By using a female voice it seems to highlight that it's the perspective of a different person, the "mastermind".
This girl's voice sounds so airy and ghostly, which I think was what they were going for. They either couldn't find a male singer who could sing the song as good as her or wanted a more "outsider/distant pov" stance on this song.
This show is the definition of "perfection" to me. There's not even a single point to say "not got" about it
