Small, light, and multifunctional; I love it. With three items (TQ, Pressure Bandage, and this) you have a great many uses. Anything that makes gear smaller, lighter, and more functional all at the same time has my approval.
Hey, In this video, for the pelvic binder, is it not placed too high and risk opening up the pelvic instead? When being instructed on the sam sling 2, I was told it was better to place it too low than to high, when suspecting an internal bleeding in the pelvic area?
Not cheap labor for long and have to pay him the $15 min wage if it goes thru. Might have to drop him down to intern instead cuz either he will be richest kid in class or you and the mrs. skinny medic start charging rent lol. Glad to see you back making vids and hope recovery still on the up side. Keep up amazing work!!
Haha! That's what my parents would say.🤣 now that I'm taking an EMT course I realize the family medical kit needs some help, I'm so happy I'm going to be able to support a brother in Christ and another first responder. Thanks again✌
Looks like a descent option for multiple levels of kits. The product material sounds similar to that of Speed-Splint so; lets see how they compare. Storage size is definite plus as well as the pelvic sling configuration. Regarding the pelvic sling application; understandably the tourniquet gives the commercial torque. If one doesn't have a tourniquet and were to use two slings to act as the binding torque how it would perform?
You guys... are kinky as hell 🤣😂 Great video, looks like a cool bit of kit. I haven't seen them here in the UK yet but hope to have a go soon. All the best, hope you are all doing well 👍🏻👍🏻
I just tried to post a comment, I'm not sure if it went through. I need advice on my stop the bleed/med kit setup. I tried to save a dog tonight and am not sure if I did the best I could to do it... Please let me know if you will hear me out.
Totally off topic here but what’s your take on having narcan in your kit as a civilian? It’s available otc where I live and I was considering adding it to my bag. You never know when you’ll come across somebody overdosed on heroin nowadays. I would imagine you might have to be ready to deal with an angry doper though for killing their buzz...
It all comes to training imo because 95% of videos i saw with LE using narcan when the person comes to they are more often than not very angry and can get very violent very quick. If you have good self defense training along with medical training i personally don't see the harm in it.
The way I see it, is that it’s beyond my scope of training, and the majority of places I’m likely to run into an OD, LE and FD/medics aren’t that far away. Though I may call 911, I’m not pushing narcan. I’ve seen first hand how quickly and angry an addict can become for ruining their high even though they OD’d

Got one in my hiking kit 👍🏼

Hope that comes out here in the UK soon. I like my SAM splints but this will definitely be added to the kit bag once I can get hold of it.
Also hope it does. Will take up so much less room then carrying a Prometheus binder and then Sam splints
Thanks for the video, I thought they looked a little flimsy when I first saw them. Now I’m going to get a couple to try out.
My God, that's ingenious. So simple.
That's the best Patient I've seen with a pelvic fracture lol. Great video 👍

He pushed me. Hahaha🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mrs. Skinny, you're a hoot!
Yup pretty sure that’s going in my kit
My son needs to work on his camera skills! Cheap labor ... haha

Hey could you do a video on the necklite?

Great video
Your beautiful wife is a good sport.
Thanks for the information and show and tell.
She is!
would you be able to use it as a pelvic binder with a CAT tourniquet?
Yes
@@SkinnyMedic thanks!
I was reading through the comments for this exact question so I wouldn't be guilty of repeating a question unnecessarily. Awesome

You got over Corona alright ?? My Father gets his vaccine on Thursday.

@@SkinnyMedic I thought the lighting was good.
I am not PrepMedic with his perfect audio, lighting, and camera setup!
