Love, love, love watching your family and friends!!!! Your dad reminds me so much of my dad, he was so handy and so kind! I miss him but I have many things he made me ❤ Thank you Debi
I was one of those who was caught up in the housing crisis here in Australia, which I believe is also happening in America … for five months of last year, through no fault of my own, I ended up homeless. It was a traumatic experience. I was finally offered a little studio apartment in an old Bible college accommodation out the back of a big church in my hometown here and I cannot even express how grateful I am. I have been lovingly decorating my tiny space, filling it with beautiful things, just like your dad and sister. I want to be surrounded by beauty because God has given me a crown of beauty for my ashes, and oil of joy for my mourning! *(Isaiah 61:3)* Really enjoying this series, Debi x
I absolutely love butcher block, I had one on my island for 20 years and then we moved. 😪 I love the patina it gets over time. Anyway, when oiling your butcher block, you do it once a month. You put a heavy coat of oil on and let it sit. If it seems to soak it up put on another layer and let it sit. After a couple hours wipe away the excess. It needs to absorb the oil all the way through or it will dry out and start cracking at the joints/seams. Don’t be shy about it, it will absorb what it needs and leave the rest on top for you to wipe away. I actually used mine to cut my veggies on. You don’t want to clean it with chemicals, just a spray of half water and half vinegar. If you get stains usually a lemon cut in half with salt on it should scrub it off. Good luck with it, it’s gorgeous! Hope this helps. Looking good!
I can't think of the words I want to use for all of you. I'll start with your dad. He is the best, talented, handsome, loving, etc. Debi and Danielle, it's great to see Danielle grow the love you have for decorating. You two are so close and talented and Watching the three of you together is such a bright spot and makes your vlog go over the top. Thank you so much for what you all do. You are blessed, don't change. God bless all of you.
This is an awesome series!! I love everything about it! Love seeing your dad & sissy and nieces and friends & coworkers! Your dad’s island is gorgeous! And your sister & your voices are so similar on the video. So special Debi!
GRANDPA...WOW what a difference the lath made to that piece and those bar stools, so stinkin. cute...Levi and his baby, sister designer, family projects and those donuts...girl, whatta day, excuse me while I go create something...WOOHOO...!
Danielle you have the perfect life situation in my opinion, cute cute cute cottage near the ocean, farmers market and your salon nearby and your DAD across the street...I can only dream of that. Excellent painting you are doing, I paint all my pieces white first, I do not like putting the beautiful colors on brown wood.
Well Debi, I have always loved you and now I love Ellie, her mom. Your dad. And Your other niece. You have a wonderful and beautiful family. Now, I can’t wait for all the new things you will be introducing to us…..I know it will be so good. 🙏🏻❤️‼️
Beautiful re-purposed treasures. How special to live so close to family and all work together in these DIY projects. Dad & sister's cottages are coming along nicely! I really enjoy these Debi, and I hope to see a lot more! I love meeting your family.
I love how your dad and sis is catching the reuse bug. His bar looks great and your sis she’s is loving turning her place bohemian. Those doors look great too. Thanks for the ideas ❣️
I enjoy watching your dad and sister diy their new cottage homes ! You are so blessed with a wonderful family ! Debbie you are super Talented! Good luck with your new project 😊
I have a little beach cottage too (up the street from the actual beach) it's 630 approximate square feet - it was a total disaster when I got it but after watching HGTV for so long I believe I can rebuild anything!! I did have a contractor....we worked together to keep the expenses low and here I am 3 and a half years later! I have the same excitement your dad and sister have, to this day I wake up grateful👍👏😊I continue doing things to my home and my outdoor space little by little to make "Little GypSea Cottage" my own❤️
When is the home tours? I want to book mine early! Everything looks great! Your dad's island is perfect and Danielle's hutch looks great - I can't wait to see it with all her bohobeach decor on it. Love the storage box - what a great find. I have a townhouse so I'm always looking for the containgers, hutches, cabinets to store things in. Deb, your craftyness is rubbing off on them - they got the bug now!
Watching your video while waiting for my son’s ⚾️ game to start. ❤ the islands! And Danielle’s cabinet turned out beautiful! And your nieces are so sweet! “It’s a FAMILY AFFAIR!” I want to go to your shop when I’m in SoCal - SD next time 😊
Both of their places are looking great! And so fun to watch everything being created. Your Dad is a real talent and a real gem! Just not sure about you "not letting him eat sugar" 🤔
I have absolutely loved this series! I’m a new subscriber and can’t wait to go back and watch your other videos. I love the relationship that you have with your sister and your dad. 🙂🙂
Dad! Your island project with the lathe strips looks gorgeous---I LOVE it! And some of the strips have darker tones that match the wood in your bar seats perfectly. Great job-what a focal point for your cottage! ❤️ much love to you and your family tonight. Thanks for another great video Debi
You and Danielle take such good care of your Pops(grandpa) he's very lucky to have such Caring daughters!!! Your Mama is Lovingly and Proudly watching over her Familia' in Heaven.....Truly, "O"
Your Dad’s lathe island reminds me of when I insisted on keeping the painted wood floor boards that my dog had scratched up over the years when we finally replaced it with new. I used some of it to wrap underneath our breakfast bar in that house and then with what was left I used in our next house to create a beachy looking wainscoting in our half bath. I love it and think of my dog, who’s since died, every time I look at it.💕
Oh my goodness I was just going to shut off and you came on❤❤ I love your video! If you lived in Massachusetts, I would invite you all over to have a nice Italian dinner, Thank you again for letting us into your homes.. Otis🐶and me Massachusetts
LOVE Danielle’s idea to use the wall decor on the doors!! Brilliant! Love the lath bar too. So exciting to hear you are making even more videos. Love your content!
I am loving these videos so much. I always enjoy watching you but you along with your sister and dad is just so much fun. I can’t wait to see their cottages all finished.
In 2010 I had bought a mobile home and my dad was going to help me fix it up, but he passed away seven months later, and I sold it three months later. I was sick with grief, but it makes me so happy to see your dad doing so much for you guys.
I love seeing Danielle get inspired, she's getting her design groove on! I love your dad's bar, it has so much more character now. Keep it up you guys!
I just love Dad - what a sweet soul …. You girls are so blessed to have him - I lost my dad way too young & also my stepfather of 32 years - I am really enjoying these decorating videos - can’t say that boho is my style, but it is still so much fun watching you all put everything together and how happy everyone is ! Can’t wait for the next one !
Love how the island turned out. Your Dad is very special to do all the projects he has done for your. Happy to see him do something for himself. Curious as to which park this is as I’ve seen a few down there. And how did they find ones directly across from each other❤️
Debi I just love this series you’re doing! I can’t wait for the tv to air. I love how you have the time now to get back to what you love ! I am and have always been so honored to carry your paint in our shop! We as retailers are so lucky to have you!
Debi.. your video tonight was a blessing to me.. thank you❤ I really needed cheering up, and this helped! Absolutely love the lath bar at your dad's place, and Danielle's place is turning out so cute! Such a fun series❤❤❤❤
Patti YES ❤ save every piece there are so many things you can do with them walls, frames, tool tote decor caddy’s , signs the list is endless I promise!😂
I’d like to see the finished armoire that was painted in the Mint Chip. I love the piece that you guys added the decorative panels to the doors. That really looked great. In the future perhaps filling the empty space between the panels and the trim or removing the trim and adding plain WoodUbend trim (from Jonathon Marc Mendes) in it’s place to fit flush against the panels, but those are just thoughts… Either way, it was a great quick addition to the piece that packed a lot of punch.
Love the lath island! You girls are so lucky to have a handyman on call! I think the entertainment center would have looked better with the unpainted doors. The darker wood showing through looked cool! But you guys are doing great things to both little cottages. It’s nice to see Danielle getting into the design process.
I bought a butcher block rolling John Boos counter for my kitchen { no counters}. I used an oil and it did nothing, I then had to use a laquer and that worked much better, now I have no worry about watermarks, and I even inadvertently marked it with a permanent marker, I was able to remove the mark with baking soda and water. I bought it on Amazon and it was specifically for butcher block counters. It was a process but it was worth it. I use this counter every day...Oh yes, your Dad is so sweet and I hope you appreciate him, be careful about being bossy.
I’m new here and I’m so happy that your videos cross my path. Truly enjoy you and your family. ❤❤. I’m in North Carolina but have family in Cali, so I may just pop by sometime when I’m out visiting.
