Thank you so much for reacting to BTOB!!! This is my favorite Japanese song of theirs. LUV is best heard when they perform it live. There are some videos of it here in RUclips.
Thank you for watching and supporting BTOB! This was such a good song and a bunch of you have said it's better live lol. I might have to check it out haha
My favorite japanese release from them are Brand New Day, Dear Bride and LUV. LUV is filled with japanese symbolism, so I myself needed to watch the MV a few times to digest the storyline. The storyline for LUV MV from my understanding: - The girl is Hyunsik's girlfriend, and she died, thus the ashes, the reflection in the mirror, and 1 black balloon (death) in the beginning. - The furniture is covered and might symbolize either the unablility to move on or going on a long journey. - I think the members are the representatives of Hyunsik's inner self, with all of them expressing loneliness. - Minhyuk was running, and I think that symbolizes denial. - I think Sungjae cutting the flower meant the unability to love again. - Ilhoon found himself alone, which might symbolize the feeling of losing something important and loneliness. - Peniel burying the red pill symbolizes the hope for healing, but at the end, the pill sprouts but is stepped on and dies, which symbolizes the loss of hope in Hyunsik's heart. - Hyunsik on the building with grey surroundings meant he didn't find joy in this life, and he actually jumped from the building and died which are corroborated by Changsub having 2 black balloon (death) afterwards instead of 1 in the beginning. Changsub also sent a white flower with the 2 balloons as usually done to send someone off at funerals. - The red thread symbolizes the link of fate and relationship, but I'm not so sure about the beetle. I know that japanese kids usually spend their time catching those beetles during summer, but I don't know what the meaning of the beetle is in this MV. - Lastly, Hyunsik was reunited with his girlfriend in the afterlife, but his girlfriend cried because she actually wanted him to keep on living. What do you think about this interpretation? Out of their songs that you have reacted to, 'I'll Be Your Man' and 'Wind&Wish' are composed by Hyunsik. The rappers in BTOB all write their own rap lines in their musics as far as i know. P/s: Are you going to react to the BTOB album that you just bought? Wind&Wish Album is one of my fav album from them..😊😊😊
I think your interpretation is probably correct. If it's not, it definitely feels more correct than mine haha. Although I think both could be valid expressions of the song, I think the way you explained it touched on the even deeper meaning. The part about the jumping from the building is where it really made sense for me because I wanted to say that in my reaction but didn't since I was focused on a love that was still alive. Thank you very much for sharing this with me ❤️ In the end, I think this kind of love is still precious and I hope for it for us all because it is lovely to be so connected to a person that way (just, you know, without the killing themselves part). As for reacting to the album, probably not. The reason is because I already listened to it a few times while I drove home so it wouldn't be true reactions anymore. I might still consider it but it wouldn't be fair to all of you who appreciate genuine reactions :)
@@milody7879 Haha I might. I would love to see them in concert though... hopefully they will be performing when I go to Seoul within the next couple of years.
Thank you for reacting to this..this is really one of their best songs and also a difficult one to sing but surely BTOB vocals can do it easily. This song is good but wait til you see them perform this live. Anyway, the mv is dramatic and deep..your interpretation is good and so close to the truth. But I think the real message of the mv is sad coz it speaks of love, loss, grief, death, suicide and afterlife. As you see, Hyunsik here lost his loved one..his only love. And her death was symbolized by 1 black balloon and seeing her in the mirror means she's on the other side. The other members simply described how Hyunsik really felt..lost, alone, in denial. He just can't let go and move on like what burying the red pill meant..and stepping on the sprout just meant he killed all hope of loving ever again. The woman walking the beetle on a red string meant a connection between life and death. And that beetle was a symbolism of another passing..another death to come. And feeling so hopeless and can't endure the pain of losing her, Hyunsik just wanted to end it all to be with her so he jumped down the building and took his life..thus, the 2 black balloons. He was so happy upon seeing her at the end but it only made her sad coz as much as she wanted to be with him..she never wanted him to join her there on the other side. It's so sad and the intensity and desperation in the song just fits the mv a lot. This is a really good song..too bad, not so many have heard it.
Yes I really enjoyed this song too and after reading other comments with a more correct interpretation than mine I like it even more because it can have the more hopeful message I thought but also have the deeper, more emotional message that was pointed out. I wasn't sure what that beetle meant so thank you for shedding the light on that one! I wish more people could hear of them :)
Jeff, thank you for this reaction and the care you put into all of them. Actually, I wish your interpretation were the correct one because the actual interpretation is so sad. It's a beautiful song and MV but it took me a long time to be able to watch it without crying. I am very impressed with the comment sakurahanis posted. However, this song and MV added to my respect for BTOB's honesty and their willingness to create works of art that appeal to their audience. For instance, the songs they sing to their concerts in the Philippines are much more R&B than the songs in Korea or Japan. I'm looking forward to your next BTOB reaction. Don't wear yourself out this week.
I just read that comment and I think both interpretations are correct BUT hers/the correct one is far better because it explains more of the symbols. I think the group certainly meant for the song to portray that message that was more sad and artistic but I don't think it's a coincidence, especially with these guys, that they might have wanted a hopeful interpretation to be found too. The part of her explanation that really convinced me was the jumping off the building part because it was something I also wanted to say in the video but didn't because I was more focused on them being alive. But it makes even more sense that he jumped there because of the part I liked where the music dropped out and he sings in silence. Their artistry is amazing and I can see why this one would add to your live and appreciation for them! Thank you for the well wishes :) I will do my best ❤️
Thanks for an awesome reaction and as this was my request let me add extra thank you thank you thank you for reacting to this awesome track. This has been one of my faves since the beginning and if anyone were to ask what I would recommend that would tell the story of BTOB then this and I'll be your man would be it. It has vocals, raps, harmonies, adlibs, layers of instrumentals plus it tells a story, a whole Drama, with a plot twist and an emotional ending. Its a rollercoaster ride and its an addiction. You can't listen to it just once. Its a track to be experienced. And at the end, with Eunkwang's lone note, its almost a relief when you exhale the breath you've been holding without realising you were holding it. I see in the comments that symbolism have been noted and it is a conversation starter. There's so many to digest in this one video. Also you been recommended the live. Yeah its epic to realise the studio version is this good but then to accept they can do this live as well and sound just like this is almost other worldly. Yes BTOB composes and produces at least 90% of their own music. The rappers write their own raps for every track. Also the Japanese tracks. This track is no exception. Its all BTOB. Usually their Japanese tracks contain a little more english than their Korean tracks. Although copyright is a problem in any Japanese content, I would still urge you to listen or react to their Japanese albums. They are gems and showcase a different side to BTOB. They sound different and it feels different but its still killer. Thank you again for this reaction and yeah to have a love like this would be super amazing but I hope and pray that if we ever lost a love such as this that there would be the support. Love and the willingness to eventually heal and grow from such a loss and that we may never succumb to such hopelessness that we cannot see a tomorrow. Health and happiness is my wish to everyone. Be blessed please ❤
Thank you so much for the request and for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed! Yes this song was even more emotional once I realized the even truer meaning of it. And suddenly that wisteria at the end made even more sense when I couldn't tell if it was real or cgi... they did that on purpose too. Wisteria is rela and that might even be a real location but it was designed to look like the afterlife. And him running to her at the end but her not being overjoyed... it made so much more sense 😭😭😭 Their artistry is insane to be able to do all of that, and still deliver a song that can be hopeful or heartbreaking all at once! I agree, a love like this would be divine but the strength to overcome the loss would be important too. My hope is that also noone would have to experience such loss but sadly, it is an inevitability in life :( Blessings on you as well my friend ❤️
Someone else mentioned that too. I might. I usually prefer to see the MVs though since I get more of a feel for what the song is about, although in this case, I was a bit off on my interpretation haha. Anything you see that is labeled [Request Series] means I reacted to this because it was specifically requested so I like to give the requester what they want :)
LUV is my Phone Ringtone. I love the melody so much and the way they just battled with each other with their vocal👏
The battle/echo is SO GOOD! I don't blame you for makin it your ringtone haha. Mine is "Talk That Talk" from Twice.
Thank you so much for reacting to BTOB!!! This is my favorite Japanese song of theirs.

Thank you. I like btob vocals.
Their vocals are stunning!
thank you..
another BTOB's reaction 💙
Thank you for watching! You have your fellow Melody to thank. All of these videos have been requested by them and now I love them too!
BtoB vocal and rapper is a top tier 😍🔥💙💙💙💙
