He had/has pretty severe ADHA (was one of the first kids ever put on ritalin in the US) so I think he tries to keep his brain distracted/entertained (without using drugs).

One thing is, Rollins pretty much already has all the music that isn't obscure. I'm sure it's somewhat difficult for him to find stuff he wants that he doesn't have.

The first time I met Henry was at "Off The Record" in San Diego in 1984.
I had just bought a copy of Family Man, and he bought an original Copy of Paranoid by Black Sabbath. I ripped off the plastic and had him sign it with a big fat marker the clerk had. Brush with greatness.

I saw Henry Rollins’ Spoken Word Tour at Kent State in the mid 90s. He blathered on interminably for more than 7 hours. It was a veritable hell on earth, and I actually grew a full beard during the Rollins rant. Good times.

Oh ok cool man. Thanks for giving me your view and I agree with you. So its ok to like different kinds of music no matter how too artsy it is and to not be considered as a hipster is great. That's what I am also trying to do. Some people stereo typed me as a hipster which kind of offends me. But any way thanks for giving your point and I'll go check out that album.
