I was lucky enough to ride the last Central Line train out of Ongar. It was that or the last Holborn-Aldwych train ! It was a 30mph speed limit by tube.
Yes I read about the last trains from Holborn and Ongar, it would have been a very difficult decision for me. Was the speed restriction due to power supply? As for the speed the trains on Epping & Ongar Railway are limited to 25mph. Thanks for watching 👀 👍
This used to be the end of London Undergrounds central line until 1994 when it closed. www.ltmuseum.co.uk/collections/stories/transport/end-line-demise-ongar-and-easternmost-branch-central-line
I know what you mean, I wouldn’t mind living in one of those. There is a temporary speed restriction past Blake Hall at the moment, so the trains do pass a little slower.
That's Chris travers talking he used to be a inspector at Ilford depot he's a megalomaniac and had 2 mental breakdowns he had a lot of problems I'm surprised he's been allowed to be in a cab
@kingwolfgaming4774 I've known him for about 20 years and he was a strike breaker in the 1980 railway strikes he left the railway to join the post office and then came back on the railway mid to late 80s as a driver at Stratford he didn't do well at driving so he became an inspector and nearly got sacked. He moved to Ilford depot in the early 90s and had a poor reception from the drivers there. He wouldn't issue ppe personal protective equipment unless threatened by the union. He would make a point that if you upset him, he would make any excuse to discipline you. He had 3 mental breakdowns once in front of me. He cried like a child because he didn't get promoted to depot manager. I did a mental health awareness course and told him in front of other managers that he has psychological issues. He was then moved to Gidea Park depot. I recommended that he retired. He retired and ended up on the Ongar railway, where he caused trouble and made people leave. I'm surprised that he is still there
SUPER! Fantastic Video

I remember travelling on this line in the 80s when it was still part of the Central Line. Video 125 did a Drivers Eye video not long before it closed.
I saw a central line tube as I was passing Ongar station one time in the 80’s. I will look for the other video. Thanks for watching 👀 👍

Great video. I hope that gentleman on the line understands what danger he could have been in. Utter stupidity.
Yes, he got a good telling off. Thanks for watching 👍
You should post his face and shame him !@@kingwolfgaming4774 or reinstate the 3rd rail and connect his jewels to it
