Yesterday, we visited Mapperton place in Dorset somehow RUclips brought me back to your visit of Wales last year, now with Sawyer you must be returning to Portugal, I visited Wales with my dear Welsh friend, Julie, now gone sorry to say, many years ago, visited her home in Swansea, Cardiff the capital and the beaches in Mumbles, retained so many beautiful memories, we visited Dylan Thomas's home near Swansea Bay, will remember their specialty dishes of cockles and laverbread bara lafwr seaweed. We had a lovely time in Wales. Thank-you for the memories🙏💖🌺🥰

If you find yourself in the Brighton area look me up I could be you're guide for the day. I have a love affair with the Algarve/Portugal and have visited more than half a dozen times. It calls me. I was due to fly to Lisbon in 2020 and obvs got cancelled but it's on my agenda for next year. I'd love to look you up in future, and maybe you'll have space to rent or you could do with some free labour and baby sitting for a week or so. Just planting an idea, we never know what unfolds when we sow and allow space for it to grow. . At the v least I'll be with you in spirit whilst watching your new chapter unfold.
Oh good! I love St. David's! It's the most wonderful cathedral inside! The swim looked so refreshing. It's currently May 2024, and the content is still fabulous!

Beautiful video in beautiful Wales. Our familes live in Wales north and south. We've had some wonderful times there. Anglesey is a beautiful place to visit if you ever find yourselves in Wales again. Lovely to watch Crusoe enjoying and growing through his adventures. We enjoyed the NC500 again, currently planning a trip to Japan when they allow adventurers back in. Ah thank you so much for such a wonderful message, great to hear from you and we’re a little bit jealous you have parts of Wales that you can almost call home! We’re dying to get to Anglesey, it looks gorgeous there. Crusoe is a little superstar, he’s six months old today and currently smooshing avocado into the towel he’s sat on as he learns all about solids - what fun in a van with no laundry facilities! 😂😂 oh Japan is top of Tara’s list too, amazing. @@TheNewbys Its looking more likely we will do Japan in 2023. We would love to do Sakura but Japan is still very much closed to foreign adventurers so trying to organise for 2022 seems like a very expensive risk to take. Only doing a few days in Tokyo then heading down south to the countryside. May have to go try some custard tarts in 2022 instead 🤔

27 years ago, we visited Wales, and you guys have made me fall in love with Wales all over again…….🏴 We have a Promaster 3500, the American equivalent, I think, of your van, and I discovered that I LOVE driving it. Who sings that beautiful song at the end of this video? I’m thinking it’s a perfect song for our son and his lovely girlfriend, should they chose to get married 🥰

@@TheNewbys This is an 'at home' week though I may do an overnighter on Friday if I can find OK weather. Next week we head to the Borders and Northumberland and Forest of Bowland (in Lancs) and North Wales the week after - think you may be there before me! All a bit whistle stop and can't wait for a longer trip to Ireland at the beginning of September for a week with my daughter. Being from Wales 🏴, but now living in Canada 🇨🇦 I was delighted to come across this episode guys. I am going to try and explain how to say ‘Allan’, it’s not like saying the name Allan, one has to sound out the double LL by putting your tongue to the roof of your mouth, so it’s AhhLLan, probably not making any sense at all am I 😀. So enjoying your adventures, I’m actually working my way backwards through them !! Hwyl Fawr - that’s ‘All the best’ in Welsh 👍🏻 but the lesson on that pronunciation will be for another time 😉 Cheers.

@@TheNewbys There are so many places to see in such a small country. You are definitely in one of our favourite locations though in Pembrokeshire . Further along the coast is Laugharne of Dylan Thomas fame. His writing shed is still there complete with furniture and writing implements. Sadly not originals though. Pendine Sands further on where they used to hold races on the beach. Too many to list really. Personally we love anywhere with a bit of history behind it. Have great adventures guys. We look forward to seeing the next instalment.

Dear Newbys, our little boy is called Christopher and he's a cheeky, delightful and exhausting 14 month old and sleep, I've forgotten what that means 😂 becoming a parent has been the most wonderful and joyful, yet the most difficult thing I've ever experienced in my 40 years, still recovering from PND. I like your van with three seats in front, and what looks like a comfortable traveling build. Tara, I love the way you dress, both in your travels and on the farm. Your clothes are non-binding. That is really an amazing place to go... or even live, I only know the southern part of the coastline. You call that beach packed...?? If you want packed beaches then go to Saundersfoot or even Tenby, there they come by the coachload, so be warned. The villages are really pretty and the tourist board knows it and cashes in on its beauty, much like Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen near where I live, in 🇨🇭. I too had Wales on my itinery this summer but "C" made me postpone till 2022. No fun having those restrictions in place and also the rising Delta varient as well..., i'll wait a year. Looks like St. Gofan is gonna be a must see next year. Thx for doing the scouting for me, think i'll just follow your tracks next summer.. Swiss greets again, stay safe, Steve.

A packed beach is probably one best avoided, you no doubt feel the same, although we do know Tenby and have walked along that beach, in the winter though. Quite right about the “C” restrictions, tricky to navigate and expensive too. We will be facing some of those issues in a few weeks when we start heading back south. Yesterday, we visited Mapperton place in Dorset somehow RUclips brought me back to your visit of Wales last year, now with Sawyer you must be returning to Portugal, I visited Wales with my dear Welsh friend, Julie, now gone sorry to say, many years ago, visited her home in Swansea, Cardiff the capital and the beaches in Mumbles, retained so many beautiful memories, we visited Dylan Thomas's home near Swansea Bay, will remember their specialty dishes of cockles and laverbread bara lafwr seaweed. We had a lovely time in Wales. Thank-you for the memories🙏💖🌺🥰

If you find yourself in the Brighton area look me up I could be you're guide for the day. I have a love affair with the Algarve/Portugal and have visited more than half a dozen times. It calls me. I was due to fly to Lisbon in 2020 and obvs got cancelled but it's on my agenda for next year. I'd love to look you up in future, and maybe you'll have space to rent or you could do with some free labour and baby sitting for a week or so. Just planting an idea, we never know what unfolds when we sow and allow space for it to grow. . At the v least I'll be with you in spirit whilst watching your new chapter unfold.

We’re dying to get to Anglesey, it looks gorgeous there. Crusoe is a little superstar, he’s six months old today and currently smooshing avocado into the towel he’s sat on as he learns all about solids - what fun in a van with no laundry facilities! 😂😂 oh Japan is top of Tara’s list too, amazing. @@TheNewbys Its looking more likely we will do Japan in 2023. We would love to do Sakura but Japan is still very much closed to foreign adventurers so trying to organise for 2022 seems like a very expensive risk to take. Only doing a few days in Tokyo then heading down south to the countryside. May have to go try some custard tarts in 2022 instead 🤔
Now there’s an idea! We are mere moments from Portugal now and are plotting our reunion with the dear custard tarts already! Yum yum. Xx

Next week we head to the Borders and Northumberland and Forest of Bowland (in Lancs) and North Wales the week after - think you may be there before me! Being from Wales 🏴, but now living in Canada 🇨🇦 I was delighted to come across this episode guys. I am going to try and explain how to say ‘Allan’, it’s not like saying the name Allan, one has to sound out the double LL by putting your tongue to the roof of your mouth, so it’s AhhLLan, probably not making any sense at all am I 😀. So enjoying your adventures, I’m actually working my way backwards through them !! Hwyl Fawr - that’s ‘All the best’ in Welsh 👍🏻 but the lesson on that pronunciation will be for another time 😉 Cheers.

@@TheNewbys There are so many places to see in such a small country. You are definitely in one of our favourite locations though in Pembrokeshire . Further along the coast is Laugharne of Dylan Thomas fame. His writing shed is still there complete with furniture and writing implements. Sadly not originals though. Pendine Sands further on where they used to hold races on the beach. Too many to list really. Personally we love anywhere with a bit of history behind it. Have great adventures guys. Dear Newbys, our little boy is called Christopher and he's a cheeky, delightful and exhausting 14 month old and sleep, I've forgotten what that means 😂 becoming a parent has been the most wonderful and joyful, yet the most difficult thing I've ever experienced in my 40 years, still recovering from PND. You guys make parenting look like a breeze, you'll have to fill me in on your secrets 😉😇 Thank you for the music top and we'll definitely send you a photo or video of our van when it's finished. Great adventures guys, I live in mid wales and a good idea for a trip might be the snowdonia 360. with a stop in Llangollen walk up to the castle and a swim in the horse show falls. I’ve got a great walk if you want more details.

But I’m going to get well enough so I can get home, get in my Motorhome and do this Pembrokeshire road trip. Already done the NC500 and Isle of Skye in May. That is really an amazing place to go... or even live, I only know the southern part of the coastline.
You call that beach packed...??
If you want packed beaches then go to Saundersfoot or even Tenby, there they come by the coachload, so be warned. The villages are really pretty and the tourist board knows it and cashes in on its beauty, much like Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen near where I live, in 🇨🇭.
I too had Wales on my itinery this summer but "C" made me postpone till 2022. No fun having those restrictions in place and also the rising Delta varient as well..., i'll wait a year.
Looks like St. Gofan is gonna be a must see next year. Thx for doing the scouting for me, think i'll just follow your tracks next summer..

Hi Steve, thanks as always for tuning in and supporting us. 👍 Ha! A packed beach is probably one best avoided, you no doubt feel the same, although we do know Tenby and have walked along that beach, in the winter though. Quite right about the “C” restrictions, tricky to navigate and expensive too. We will be facing some of those issues in a few weeks when we start heading back south.
