One of the things I love about your vids is how you talk about things you've learned. From your travels, books, life, work... This time was "Turtles" and seeing how life is for those suffering from mental illnesses like OCD and anxiety. This teaches us to have empathy for others - Something which unfortunately is in short supply these days. I've followed you since COVID and your positivity coupled with your acknowledgement that life isn't always "rainbows and hearts and Unicorn farts" is what keeps me watching.❤️

I may have touches of OCD....BUT the anxiety has been sending into a tailspin at times lately and that combined with the autism stuff can be , well quite an ordeal. My gosh that Luna the sock stealer! haha and very cool footage of her catching the frisbee...noticed the slo mo!!
I read an article about your airline that talks about flight attendants on reserve that even attendants with high senority depending where your based ends up having to do reserve.
Love love love all the gifts you got for Mother's Day but Andarna shirt has to be my favorite! I love a lot of things Tairn has said in the books but 'We do not eat our allies ' was one of my favorites! All the trouble Andarna gave Tairn had me giggling throughout the books!😂
My wife has family in the Phoenix area. That pizza place is definitely going to get paid a visit when we go visit over Christmas this year!! Looks so yummy!! And as always, thank you for including Ms Luna!! So adorbs!! ❤️✈️🐕

@@JettingJulia - I just completed a round trip GEG > TPA > GEG for my grandson's high school graduation this week on your airline. Thought maybe I would see you or one of your fellow DFW-based vloggers (even though I know you're based in PHL) as my TPA > GEG return leg routed thru DFW with a 3.5hr sit. Alas, no such luck. . . 😢 However, I think this little anecdote will bring back memories: The entire LGA-based cabin crew on my TPA > DFW leg were brand new - it was only their second flight soloing after graduation! They were on a three day (LGA > TPA > DFW > TPA > LGA), and even though they were a little nervous doing the safety items demonstration, overall they did a great job, and I don't think the majority of passengers realized they were newbies. Being seated in 24D on a 737, I chatted for a minute with #2 & #3 as we were waiting to deplane, which is when I found out they were brand new. I waited at the gate until all four came off the aircraft, then thanked each one of them personally for doing a "job well done" so early in their careers. I think I told you, during my career, I think I went to Japan about 25 timers. But my son went recently, and informed me everything I remembered has likely changed. (For example, I remembered it being expensive for Americans. He told me he did not think so. (But he lives in NYC, so he might be biased. 🙂 ) Hope you get back soon, but if you only got to stay in Narita last time. take the train into Tokyo, as it will be worth it..
I wonder if flight attendants prefer longer flights Julia? Not solely for the fact they are more likely to be long haul and therefore more exciting but because you are all only paid whilst flying? Thank you

That is so strange. I just got my book order of TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN, but it is a book on the dangers and myth of vaccinations. How could these two books have the same title and be so completely different.???
Julia ... I hope you have seen the press reports of the shameful way your company has responded to a lawsuit regarding one of your number filming a young girl in the bathroom. Beyond this event pointing to a cultural issue at American ... somehow the female FAs must be EXTREMELY vigilant when a male FA is present. Attention to detail is the key to success! I realize it places yet another stress on FA shoulders, but you ladies are probably in the best position to nab such offenders before they offend multiple times ... and please keep posting interesting life stories.
In my 20's I met a FA at a vocational school. She was trying to learn a new career as her back had been injured when she was thrown into some seats during service. Yup, turbulence. It's probably safer that the account is in Eric's name when having food delivered to your hotel. Beautiful shot of the clouds. I envy your ability to do that quad stretch as I'm always afraid I'll lose my balance & fall over. Luna is so cute, demanding that you throw her frisbee. Her face communicates that's what she wants. Sparkly dragon toy is beautiful. I saw the storms. Springtime.

Honestly it depends on the time of year! When I filmed this there were storms across the country so the likelihood of turbulence was high!

Julia ... I hope you have seen the press reports of the shameful way your company has responded to a lawsuit regarding one of your number filming a young girl in the bathroom. Beyond this event pointing to a cultural issue at American ... somehow the female FAs must be EXTREMELY vigilant when a male FA is present. Attention to detail is the key to success! I realize it places yet another stress on FA shoulders, but you ladies are probably in the best position to nab such offenders before they offend multiple times ... and please keep posting interesting life stories.
In my 20's I met a FA at a vocational school. She was trying to learn a new career as her back had been injured when she was thrown into some seats during service. Yup, turbulence. It's probably safer that the account is in Eric's name when having food delivered to your hotel. Beautiful shot of the clouds. I envy your ability to do that quad stretch as I'm always afraid I'll lose my balance & fall over. Luna is so cute, demanding that you throw her frisbee. Her face communicates that's what she wants.
