What a wonderful speech that the chief gave about the color of his skin. His words are so relevant today. He was a wise man. I would have loved to be there to hear him speak and talk with him.

Lawrenceville School in NJ lists in its alumni records Indian orphaned/separated children at this school, they would have been about 12 -18 years old. HH is a guiding spirit -an inspiration to me- to the poor, disinherited, and hopeless. Kids should know her legacy.

4th graders in Southern California go to see the Ramona Pageant every year. I remember going in 1962. Lots of streets and town bear the names from this book.
