I've had type one diabetes sense I was 8 so it's been 7 years now. I've gotten to the point where I can't feel my lows anymore. I recently taught my dog to be able to smell them and it's really helping me.
AJ Teeva same, except i've had it for 10 years and 8 months now, and i dont have a dog (hehe) - but i have a cat and she has woken me up before.
Look at my comment above please: Being a Type 1 highly brittle since 18 months old: changed to Affresha (inhaled insulin) and Tresiba. Only one injection needed per day. AiC went from 8.5 to 6.7 within a month!! Also added in non carb HIGH fat KETOGENIC diet past month helps tremendously to stabilize blood sugars. Love seeing service dogs!
about a month ago i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. low blood sugars can be really scary!

Nope, in yesterday's vlog, they said it was anaplasmosis. I think it's curable, so Ollie will be okay! :) Also, I hate that you've been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes - I'm praying for you!! :)
Hannah Christenbury it's anaplasma actually, Mary corrected herself. Thankful it's not Lyme.
Kira C my husband was also diagnosed with diabetes a month ago too! I hope you are ok. He getting adjusted to it.

My sweet dachshund heard you coughing and came out from the under the blanket next to me to check on you. He's not trained to alert but he sure just did it. He wanted to make sure his mommy was ok too.

that final song!!! it made me cry! i may not have been here since day 1, but in the time i have been here... i feel like yall are family. on days i struggle with my own health i continue to " do what i think i cant do" and no matter what i never forget to "smile everyday". thank you Peter, Mary, and Ollie boy for giving me the will to fight. i still have yet to figure out whats going on with my health, but you give me hopw that when i find out whats going on... no matter what ill be okay.

In New England, I think they used to call a late snow like this a "sugar snow" because it made the sap rise for a longer time, providing a bigger maple syrup harvest. I think the weather is trying to welcome you to Maple Sugar country! :)

My sister is turning two soon and she's had chronic bronchitis and growth problems since she was born..soooo we will have to test for a bunch of illnesses and its just helpful to get insight into your lives. She also has recently had to do mists and antibiotics that do not work /: thank you for your inspiration Mary

My previous dog was never trained so she wasn't consistent but would alert me to my low blood sugars. She just came by it naturally which was pretty cool. It would be really awesome to have a service dog. I'm glad you have Ollie!

Mary & Peter, so glad Ollie boy is feeling better, but I wish that Mary could go an entire day without a headache 😡. I suffer from migraines and have been in the midst of a seven day headache and I don't envy her with her other health issues and having a headache on top of that. Although it was said in jest, I detected some serious undertones. What will it take for you both to become confident in yourselves and your channel. You are amazing at what you do, yet I really don't think either of you realise how much you mean to "your people." Your channel is the perfect mixture of everything. It gives us a very open and honest insight in to most aspects of your family life, while managing to talk about serious matters in a touching way, yet also keep things lighthearted with your gentle humour which never offends. The way you 3 vlog can not be taught. It's the combination of your amazing and unique attributes which make the magic of The Frey Life. My uncle had cistic fibrosis and he died in his sleep 3 years ago and even talking about it makes me cry he was only 21😪😰💤
Phobiathing Weirdthing I'm so sorry.. I have cystic fibrosis and my best friend passed away New Year's Eve, and my other friend passed in her sleep Christmas Eve.. both with cf. it's hard having friends with this disease cause eventually that will be me
Imperfect21Angel I have CF, I'm 14, and been in hospital 3 times for CF. There is so much that we and the doctors can do to help us, and thinking you're life is going to end everyday will be harrowing. There's hope for everyone and that includes you.
