If you bent the angle you used the hammer on first using the break, then used the break again to bend the angle on your line, you would have had two clean bends. You also could have turned the metal up vertical and made the second bend with the break, not the hammer.
I have made 1/8" brackets in it with ease, I got to believe it will do a sheet no problem. Just mount it down unlike I did, and you should be good to go. If you are looking for a perfect bend, you are using it pretty far past it's ratings. Really you are looking at bending 3 gauge (1/4") when its supposed to be around the 16 aluminum, 17 & 18 in steel. If its a smaller sheet and simple bends, I would try it. If this is a one off job I would try it. Tricks you could use too if you had issues, maybe heat the steel first as well. Just depends on what you are trying to accomplish I guess.
@@Jeep-Creep I’m just doing a simple 6”x6” plate for a roll cage. I do want to do aluminum as well but probably only a .060” thickness which is within range. Thanks for the tip 💪🏻
Hold on, gotta pause it I have to pee now!😂😂 .
flip the bar clamp over for tighter bends. should be a pyramid of giza.
Thanks for the tip!

Ahh, That is a much better idea! I am new to a bending brake and that makes more sense then hammering the handle. Thanks for the tip!
What size grinder is that?
@@Colonelcheeser that is a harbor freight 4.5” grinder. It’s just their cheapy $15 one. I’ve used it years with no issues
@@Jeep-Creep thank you for replying. 😊
@@Colonelcheeser no problem. Please subscribe and help the channel
I drilled 3/8" holes into the clamping plates and installed two bicycle seat lever bolts. It works wonderfully!
Awesome ideas! I might have to try that
Do you think this could “handle” 1/8 inch sheet metal? I’m in a pinch on my budget and need the job done. The bench vise route is double the price

@@Diamondsintherubble Oh yeah, you are good to go! No problem anytime!
Can't hear you man!
Sorry, I will work on the sound in future videos. Did you try the close caption?
