    This reminds me of why I need a logic module in my life! Just having the ability to effect a note sequence by reducing all the notes that are the higher notes would be an amazing bit of control! This 2 hour epic is a gift! Been getting more interested in your modules over the past little while. Wish I had a touring machine already and then I’d pick up a Leaves without hesitation!

    The definition of deep dive. Great video! Since I got Ana2 last week I haven't made a patch without it. If you ever get time, I'd love a detailed video on the Specra Mirror.

      I'm actually working on a new version of the Spectra Mirror. As much as I love the old one it was early in my career and there are some design decisions that I would not have made again. The new one is going to keep the stuff that nothing else does but make it easier to access. Hopefully it will also be in stereo :D

    What an ace looking module ... Looking forward to getting my hands on one in the not too distant future. Unrelated, but have you ever considered doing voice overs for movies? I'm definitely getting hints of "in a land ..."

    • @MysticCircuits
      @MysticCircuits  7 месяцев назад +1

      I'd love to do voice overs. I did some prop work for movies and didn't really enjoy being a part of that industry even as small of a part as I was. I have had folks say that I have a radio voice and think it could be fun but I don't really know what it looks like to break in.

      I just moved so I'm still getting the video setup reorganized but Mylar Melodies did an excellent video on Ana 2 that shows it in a lot of musical contexts. Besides the obvious choice of ring modulator/ distortion there are some fun things to be done as a gate quantizer or mangler here. I use Ana a lot to twist note sequences as well, I'll be working on a video using it with the qubit chord as chord has some modes that let you do this with no quantizer.

    • @Finn.Diesel
      @Finn.Diesel 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@MysticCircuits Yes, the mylarmelodies Video is excellent. Don´t get me wrong but your 1,5 hrs Video is way to long and has too much talking which then self explains. Btw: I just ordered the module. It sounds very promising. 🙂

      @@Finn.Diesel I do these in depth demo videos even though all of the information can be gathered from the written manual because some folks (especially newer modular users) need the information presented in a different way. I do my best to chapter everything and work off of a script so that there is as little fat as possible. With this video because I need to cover 9 different outputs it's sort of like covering 9 different modules in one. I'm hoping that doing some more videos that are focused on a specific use or patch for Ana will get the gears turning for people. It's hard to know what direction to go in for promo, I think a lot of people get some good info out of the 2 hour video even if they only watch the first 20 minutes or jump around.

    • @MysticCircuits
      @MysticCircuits  7 месяцев назад +3

      I wrote a really long reply and then clicked slightly outside the window and youtube deleted it :/. I have an example patch in the written manual on my website with an incredible distortion patch that utilizes self patching and that I spent a lot of time testing out. I also have a patch in this video in the processing modulation section for step that uses the step output to modulate one of the LFOs coming in for some feedback randomness. I suggest when feedback patching directly back into ANA to make use of the main inputs so that you can limit or invert the feedback signals. I'll make sure to explore this more in the patch demo video coming next!

      I have plans for a vert 2 but haven't started development on it yet. I have Tree coming back next (after our video oscillator release this summer so Tree will be probably this Autumn) and have actually started prototyping a new version of spectra mirror that might be soon after.
