- 2023 marks the 100th Anniversary of the 1923 grouping forming the Big Four railway companies; the Great Western Railway, London Midland & Scottish Railway, London & North Eastern Railway, and Southern Railway.
This is the first of four videos, covering locos from each of the Big Four companies, featuring both original designs, and locos from their constituent companies. The video features locos of the London & North Eastern Railway. The locos featured are:-

I have made the decision to only include locos that I have filmed in either HD or 4K for this series, therefore some locos that I only ever filmed in standard definition do not feature, the main example for this particular video being K4 No 61994 'The Great Marquess'.
I can't believe I've got to September before remembering that this year is the 100th anniversary. Thanks for reminding me. I'm now wondering why yhere has not been more publicity.
Why is the N7 not included in the line up

Shame on you for not including The Great Marquess. What has the poor K4 tender engine done to deserve being ousted from this video? So what if you only captured her in Standard Definition, she's the only surviving K4 in preservation, and she should have been included. I understand it would have been difficult to possibly include the V2 Green Arrow. But The Great Marquess should have been included, as well as the famous A3 Flying Scotsman. Other than that, nice compilation.
If you'd read the description properly, then you'll see it was to keep the whole video quality higher to make it look better to us, the audience...
