No surprise. Zaha is unique with extraordinary ordinary vision. She was born in the land (Iraq) that inspire creativity. The land of the first writing, first script of law, first calendar, Arabic calligraphy, and the place of leaders who seeks eternity. Zaha is eternal in her art. May god bless her sole.

I look at her work and I'm completely awed and humbled in the same moment, she had a remarkable vision, I would love to see more talks that explore her sketchbooks, influences, and how she brought them to architectural completion

this isn't architecture just for the sake of practicality or even for the sake of having a job. Zaha was an artist, a true artist. the way her brain was working- oh man, that must have been fascinating. you can tell by the sketches alone. it gets even better, though... i feel like she unknowingly (or perhaps even subconsciously) inspired people in other fields of different art forms. for example. her style deeply reminds me of Alexander McQueen's work, as well as Iris van Herpen. i love how, in her uniqueness, she still knew how to communicate and express emotion that would be understood by everyone else. this is magical and definitely a rarity.

I first saw her buildings while searching for futuristic cities on google. It took me some time to notice that they are in fact, real buildings and not renders. This design pattern is amazing, I truly hope her company continues the legacy and we will see more of such buildings in the future.

We wholeheartedly agree with your comment, and are also enraptured by her magnificent oeuvre. It's great to see the practice flourishing despite Hadid's sad passing. Thank you for taking the time to watch our film.

Zaha Hadid is a very inspiring personality, her architecture make me think differently. By the way, Malevich is of Ukrainian-Polish origin and was born in Ukraine, so he is not a Russian artist.

She was like a spoilt and very lucky child who's every scribble got translated into a building, often without a purpose. Buildings should serve people, not other way round. Increadibly expensive creations, none of them eco-friendly as they're all very heavy on resources. Why no one even talks about that. How many hospitals could've been build instead of this all? Can we really afford keep damaging our planet with this amounts of unnecessary concrete and steel? You'll say it's pretty and I'll agree. That's all.

    • @barbarajohnson1442

It shouldn't be either /or, in reality we can afford both, and we should.
