amazing catch! i have a HO- Scale 5619 And i love it!
Thanks!
Nice! Wow near miss!
Thanks!
Those two cars are very lucky they didn't get hit in the process! Awesome Catch!
I know this was filmed back in 2018 and what those two drivers did was silly, but the sound of the WCH bell and how 5373 was tooting together made it sound like a nice rhythm.
Nice!
+SouthernCalRailfan177 Thanks!
Great video, that first car is an idiot for stopping instead of keep going
Why didn't they just finish crossing?
Nice! UP broke the rules of Quiet Zone. #BackToHornZone
Pacific Zone Railfan Thanks! It was because of that car being a few feet from the track though. But otherwise he blow the horn in sequence like a horn zone instead of blowing it in just one long blow all the way through the Crossing like they normally do blowing as a warning. One this line I wish instead of the horn zone ending at Elder Creek Rd it should of ended at Fruitridge instead coming into Sacramento as Fruitridge Rd is around warehouses like Elder Creek Rd, Florin Rd, and Gerber Rd and all of those are still horn zones.
MobileRailSpotterRxR ok
THIS is why quiet zones are bad news. Stop. Look. LISTEN!!! Kinda hard to “Listen” when the crossings are quiet zones
Is this a quiet zone?
+Ethan the Railfanner Yes. But due to the car being too close it used it's horn.
My hometown isn't a quiet zone though.
It's a mix in my area. Some crossings are horn zones and some aren't.
Quiet zones depend on the city itself. They may request a quiet zone due to businesses, housing, etc, it’s city ordinance basically. Or say a bunch of crossing close together where it would be a constant horn blow. Now, when it’s a quiet zone, the crossing is designed with a longer warning time and more street and road signs to warn as such. BUT if someone’s on the tracks, or there’s a crossing order, the quiet zone goes away, it’s rules.
Great catch that was a close call
Thanks!
YIKESSSS!!!!!!!!
The guy would have gotten to the other side at the right time, but I think the guy with the white car did the right thing not to go over the tracks while train was present.
They lucky they didn't get hit
A quiet zone my butt. Lol
train probably blew horn to warm driver.
These cars are idiots and nice catch👍.
Thanks!
Wow omg
why is it quite zone?.
Weeky Day a quite zone is that trains can’t blow their horns at quite zones.
Every day it's a quiet zone here.
The title should have been "near hit"
