I came here for the Z fold coverage, but as someone who’s used 1Password for nearly 10 yrs, I just have say it’s far and away the best password and secure document manager in the business. Unlike competitors like LastPass or DashLane, they’ve never been compromised by hackers. It works on all platforms including Linux! I can even use 1Password to save and sync SSH keys thanks to their CLI and ssh-agent. There’s really no reason to use or try anything else.
What's funny is: the same people who complain tend to rave about running full apps and typing on the Moto and Z Flip cover screens, which are decidedly smaller than the Z Fold's cover screen. 😂
The biggest complaints come from the apple fanboys who are really looking for any reason to hate. When Apple makes their Foldable, they will fall over themselves, finding reasons to love it. It's sad, really.

@PeteMatheson I agree. I feel like an $1800 phone should have the same camera system or better than the $1200 phone. I get that it may be difficult to house that camera system in there without making the phone bulkier but I'd take a camera bump to have the S23's setup
Finally someone making sense of fold size. In millions years z fold will not have cover screen size like google fold. If samsung want cover screen that big they will probably bring a new line up called samsung roll.
This is what i am trying to say that the samsung got the form factor correct.. its because it's on the portrait when you unfold it and most of the apps are running on portrait mode. This is what other youtube channels can't understand. Even mkbhd doesn't get it
Samsung killed the front display for opening in portrait mode meaning you lose one display for your $1800. Google said you can have two usable displays and can switch 90 degrees if you need portrait mode which is no big deal as that is a de facto USP of tablets! So I totally disagree, but if you are happy with the front display being a subpar user experience then great for you, but 66% of my workflow is just quick responses and I hate to have to open the phone on the Fold 4 just for that. Why on earth should I pay all that money for that inconvenience?

I bought a Pixel Fold and being able to type and use the front display when I am paying $1800 is a must. Forcing me to open the inner display is cheap and means that the Galaxy Fold is an easy pass.
It's perfect, as it should be, given all the work and focus groups Samsung's put into it over the years. People forget that the cover screen is meant for quick interactions and notifications; Samsung actually calls the inner screen the MAIN screen, because that's where you do your work. Despite that, the fact that you can actually do everything on the cover display is a testament to how well-thought-out the Z Fold is. When all you hear about the Pixel Fold is "I never have to unfold it!" you have to ask yourself: "Then what's its point? And for $1800?"

It's preference. I like thin narrow displays and this keeps the inner display size and aspect ratio the way it is. GZF5 software and android user experience in inner display and spen support is unmatched
One UI on the Huawei Mate X3 or Vivo X Fold 2 would be a superior foldable experience vs the Z Fold series. Regardless, all current non-clamshell foldable phones have GARBAGE internal aspect ratios no matter what. Galaxy Flex S aka Galaxy Z Flex is what a foldable phone SHOULD BE.

Coming from a fold 3 and 4 got my 1tb grey 5 yesterday. The flat folding screen is nice feels much smaller in hand. The crease is absolutely less substantial than my fold 4 which isnt something most reviewers have mentioned so it was a nice surprise. Curious to see how much better battery life will be on this compared to the fold 4. If its even a fraction of what i get on my S23 ultra ill be happy because that thing is a battery beast
Interesting hearing about there being less crease! I sat there for a while comparing and running my finger over the 2, I couldn't tell if there was an improvement or not 😬

I am very pleased with the Z Fold 5. I did trade my Fold 4 for the 5. 1. Very happy with the lower weight of the 5. 😊 Also do notice the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Thank for your great tips for the Galaxy Watch 6 tips.😊

It seems everyone talks about Samsung being too narrow but you do have some great points and it seems TM Roh wants to also stick with this narrow outside display. Hmm... I have a Pixel Fold and love it, but it is verrryyy heavy and my pinky finger gets tired quickly when using the inside screen. I am ordering Z Fold 5 because of weight & speed & screen brightness. Speed is an issue when searching through Keep on PF
I've tried both. If you are like me and are trying to find the perfect 'little' phone that can be bigger if need be, then Flip5. If you WANT a full-size regular phone that can become a TABLET, then the Z Fold5. But for me, the Tab S8+ fills that role for me. For my needs, the Flip5 is perfect.
I've had every fold from the beginning. Samsung has the better fold but I always said if I could get those Pixel features in a fold that would be love and they drop the Pixel Fold. Pixel always drop and then wait for feedback and drop the update to smooth it out so make sure you revisit this after the update

It's definitely going to be a divided opinion. I know so many who are in love with the Pixel Fold, and for good reason! But both are good choices. Unfortunately they're both still super pricey - again, hope that comes down in future years
Believe it or not with this 5th gen of foldable phones from Samsung especially the flip 5 u'll see more and more foldables in places and maybe iFans will gonna upset as more and more people in the future will switch to foldables in general. I came to the ZFold from many many years with Apple. I tired of getting a new phone every year that never felt new. I became frustrated with Apples limitations on customization and use. Finally, I went to a ZFold4 and now a ZFold5. The 4 screen protector failed after 3 years of gentle use. I have had the 5 now for a year. Bottom line: I am excited every day by the ZFold5. Nothing compares. I miss a few ecosystem perks with Apple but Samsung is truly leading the way. Apple has become complacent and long overdue for a complete hardware refresh. Looking back, I think Apple is taking advantage of us by selling us the same phone year after year with only tiny incremental changes. Just sayin.
I had a 14 pro max. Wanted to give the fold a chance so I bought the fold 5. Used of for 3 months and now I’m back to the 14 pro max. Sorry Samsung but a folding phone is great but if all you’ve got is a folding screen but you lack the smooth operating system, the plethora of apps, the reliability of the OS and the amazing battery life, you can keep the folding screen and I’ll take the iPhone

It looks like OnePlus has delayed their OnePlus Open to redesign it to be as wide as the Pixel Fold but a bit taller. All Chinese folds are also wider.

It comes down to personal preference over which format is better IMO. Both Galaxy and Pixel are good devices!

The front screen is definitely nicer on the 4/5 over the 3. Overall I do like the bigger screen on the pixel fold though!

I got the fold 5 and charging it on my ps5 turned on it only takes 1hr and some minutes to go from 3percent to 100percent within a hr 😅

Samsung gets away with pricing because there was little competition. Now that there is competition I'm hoping more people buy the Pixel fold tbh.
It's definitely going to be a divided opinion. I know so many who are in love with the Pixel Fold, and for good reason! But both are good choices.
Unfortunately they're both still super pricey - again, hope that comes down in future years

Believe it or not with this 5th gen of foldable phones from Samsung especially the flip 5 u'll see more and more foldables in places and maybe iFans will gonna upset as more and more people in the future will switch to foldables in general. I'm also an Apple user who switched to foldable phone so I can say beside the iOS and the ecosystem...Apple is trash nowadays and I miss Steve Jobs's Apple.

I just traded in my Z Fold 4 256gb model to the Z Fold 5 and have to pay an equivalent of 345 Pounds here in Indonesia
One UI on the Huawei Mate X3 or Vivo X Fold 2 would be a superior foldable experience vs the Z Fold series.
Regardless, all current non-clamshell foldable phones have GARBAGE internal aspect ratios no matter what.
Galaxy Flex S aka Galaxy Z Flex is what a foldable phone SHOULD BE.
As an Apple user the Fold5 looks tempting
I switched and trust me, it's an absolute game changer. You won't regret it and you'll feel like you can never go back to a standard phone if I'm being honest
I came to the ZFold from many many years with Apple. I tired of getting a new phone every year that never felt new. I became frustrated with Apples limitations on customization and use. Finally, I went to a ZFold4 and now a ZFold5. The 4 screen protector failed after 3 years of gentle use. I have had the 5 now for a year. Bottom line: I am excited every day by the ZFold5. Nothing compares. I miss a few ecosystem perks with Apple but Samsung is truly leading the way. Apple has become complacent and long overdue for a complete hardware refresh. Looking back, I think Apple is taking advantage of us by selling us the same phone year after year with only tiny incremental changes. Just sayin.

I had a 14 pro max. Wanted to give the fold a chance so I bought the fold 5. Used of for 3 months and now I’m back to the 14 pro max. Sorry Samsung but a folding phone is great but if all you’ve got is a folding screen but you lack the smooth operating system, the plethora of apps, the reliability of the OS and the amazing battery life, you can keep the folding screen and I’ll take the iPhone

This video is so obviously skewed to Samsung but that's ok... I love the Pixel Fold but if stubborn Samsung would change their form-factor, id definitely consider coming back to them.

@@jebaker2 The market is moving that way. Soon the Galaxy Fold will be the only narrow fold. Google ditched that design when they asked people and were overwhelmed with support for a wider display. It looks like OnePlus has delayed their OnePlus Open to redesign it to be as wide as the Pixel Fold but a bit taller. All Chinese folds are also wider.
