Hi Vijay , I am 35 ur got fed up with corporate life. Unfortunately we have been settled in Mumbai city . I want to go to native and do some farming and start a middle level dairy farm . I hope I can utilise my 45 hours in peace .

What a coincidence! I too retired from corporate from senior position at age 40 by 31st Mar'21! The reason is FIRE and simple lifestyle! More importantly to spend time and laugh more with my aged parents. To answer the question; running marathon, poetry [world renowned haiku poet], households, playing cards with my parents and finally trading keeps me active!

Good to know you could plan perfectly for an early retirement at the age of 42. Only a very few can think of this in India. However, getting satisfied in life at a particular point of time and saying good bye is a great art which does not come easily for everyone. Always life keeps throwing a carrot in front of you. Really appreciate you realised what is important in life at an early age. Our parents generation was a satIsfied lot though they struggled a lot till retirement. Ours is an in between lot. Neither here nor there kind of.
If I get financial freedom, I will gather my school & childhood friends and play cricket every day ❤️ and spent the profit money from the investment. Hi Vijay Sir, I watched your video for first time. I underestimated your videos and did not watch any of them before! I am going to watch all your videos! I am 69. Financially stable. I love my work. It is like a hobby. Retirement at 55. With yearly extensions retired at 60. Felt lost without my work. Envied all those who worked. Even envied my son going to work. Then I got contract jobs in same field. Loved it. Pandemic ended my last contract. Lost on what to do. But I did exactly what you said here. Gain skills and knowledge for 2.5 years at age 67. Time passed very quickly. Now at 69, I am invited to work in same field but with a CV with added skills. Going to love it. Upon self assessment, I am amazed that at 69 I am invited to work. I consider that an achievement. Just sharing what could happen when one is in the late 60's as opposed to 40's.

I am 39, live in Australia and have a totally different mindset to yours (am not saying you are right or am right, it is just a difference of opinion) . To me, I can never think of retirement and I need a 40 hr job to keep me busy. Over here in Australia, we don't say - 'ennakku 42 vayasu agudu, we say, ennake 42 vayasu dan agudu'. That said, I wish you all success.
Just to be clear. Retiring from Corporate life does not mean doing nothing. It means doing something we like regardless of the money we can make from it.

My take is that out of 168 hrs in a week, with some careful planning, anyone can easily squeeze about 16 hrs (roughly 10%) and with some effort about 32 hrs (20% of it). This time, if well spent, can be used productively to pursue whatever we want to without disturbing our main 40 hrs job. Good to know you could plan perfectly for an early retirement at the age of 42. Only a very few can think of this in India. However, getting satisfied in life at a particular point of time and saying good bye is a great art which does not come easily for everyone. Always life keeps throwing a carrot in front of you. Really appreciate you realised what is important in life at an early age. Our parents generation was a satIsfied lot though they struggled a lot till retirement. Ours is an in between lot. Neither here nor there kind of.
I did not plan perfectly. It just happened to be a side benefit from my investment strategies.
If I get financial freedom, I will gather my school & childhood friends and play cricket every day ❤️ and spent the profit money from the investment. I miss my cricket days which I had from 7 th STD to 12th std. Every day evening cricket with friends that's awesome timeline in my life. After 12th std till today life in chasing mode. Enaku 45 years la oru company run panni naan irukira oorlaye 25 peruku min 25K sal tharanum.. i am now entering in to 40 ..but i like this age more than anything in my past..bcoz it gives me the view how i sholud look people and get what i need without harm anyone.. moreover understand betweeen me and my wife is stronger in this age.. soon i plan retire too😁

Suppose 40 hrs kedachithuna, Nalla ooor suthanum(ipothaikku Tamil Nadu mattum , all historical places) , chinnatha hotel arbikkanum, some acres land vanki , fulla VANAM a mathanum. Antha VANAM naduvula katil pottu paduthukkanum.... Athukku first Na financial independent ahanum...😄

Hi Vijay Sir, I watched your video for first time. I underestimated your videos and did not watch any of them before! I am going to watch all your videos! I am 69. Financially stable. I love my work. It is like a hobby. Retirement at 55. With yearly extensions retired at 60. Felt lost without my work. Envied all those who worked. Even envied my son going to work. Then I got contract jobs in same field. Loved it. Pandemic ended my last contract. Lost on what to do. But I did exactly what you said here. Gain skills and knowledge for 2.5 years at age 67. Time passed very quickly. Now at 69, I am invited to work in same field but with a CV with added skills. Going to love it. Upon self assessment, I am amazed that at 69 I am invited to work. I consider that an achievement. Just sharing what could happen when one is in the late 60's as opposed to 40's.

I am 39, live in Australia and have a totally different mindset to yours (am not saying you are right or am right, it is just a difference of opinion) . To me, I can never think of retirement and I need a 40 hr job to keep me busy. Over here in Australia, we don't say - 'ennakku 42 vayasu agudu, we say, ennake 42 vayasu dan agudu'.
That said, I wish you all success.
Just to be clear. Retiring from Corporate life does not mean doing nothing. It means doing something we like regardless of the money we can make from it.

My take is that out of 168 hrs in a week, with some careful planning, anyone can easily squeeze about 16 hrs (roughly 10%) and with some effort about 32 hrs (20% of it). This time, if well spent, can be used productively to pursue whatever we want to without disturbing our main 40 hrs job. Nevertheless, I have found a gem of a channel in you, and look forward to more such useful videos. Thanks again.
