    Awesome! Just totally awesome footage. Like the music with it too. I liked how you went up to the tree and gave it a kiss and a hug! I do that too, especially in Sequoia and Kings Canyon and Yosemite. They have such intense energy!!! Hope the snow kept you from stepping on the roots. :) ~ I'm now a subscriber to beautiful places!

    My friend and I walked in the meadow near the Visitor Center one day in early spring. The snow was deep, the air was cold. After a few hours, we got to Hwy 180 for the drive west to the motel in Fresno. Suddenly a light snow began to fall from a high ceiling of wintry clouds. Without any hesitation, I pulled off the road and stood outside the car, having a peak experience. Snowy prisms falling in the thin sunlight. I wanted that moment to last forever because we were in the realm of the Timeless.

    I wish I had more money to travel and go visit the forests, and mountains of the world. I absolutely love nature, and being in nature. I'd much rather go deep into wild nature than a modern city.

    I've never been. But learning about these giants has made me wonder what it must have been like 400 years ago. I'll be that in those times, there were entire forests of giant sequoias that stretched as far north as Lake Tahoe. Now, only small groves remain.

    You could have provided useful information like
    How tall the tree is
    Width of the base
    A guess as to how old it is ...

    Omg i went there and i walked all the way to the top a this giant rock that was like 3000 thousand feet in the air and to walk up it you had to walk up and down and sideways up stairs and i heard people died from hiking on it because there aren't many rails to hold on to and the floor is like scary because it's overlapping and cracked.

    Sitting here on the plains of Texas and having never seen such massive trees, I feel destroyed by my lack of ability to have ever seen them.

    Sequoia National Park contains the largest living tree. Its trunk is 102 feet in circumference.

    Forgot to mention that they are also the oldest living things. No other organism can come close to having lived for over 3000 years.

    Sequoia is higher than redwood cause they grow on the mountains, redwood grows on the coast, even thou redwood is taller, but thats only if they at same level..

  • @bryanrick
    @bryanrick 10 лет назад +1

    Not the oldest living organism in the world, that would be the Bristlecone Pine tree. There is an ancient grove in Inyo County, California with specimens more than 5,000 years old. They lack the grandeur of Sequoias, sure, but they come in a close second for me. 5,000 years old!

    To be fair, though, I like the naration, but the background music is...interesting to say the least. I would have used something more appropriate.

      to be fair? Interesting to say the least? More appropriate? I don't really understand what you are saying with all the superfluous phrasing.

      Very cool! I love being wrong if it means someone found a big new tree. In my defense though, the show was done in 2011.
