Thanks for all your videos! I’m waiting for my cover crop seeds to come in along with the corn being picked too. I’m planting 19 acres of cover crops. This is the first year planting cover crops on this land. It’s been row crop for years. I’m planning to put it in pasture.
I think board casting in front of the cows is the way to go if possible. I also think you can get just as nice of stand if not best using the livestock.
Hi Russ! Do you own your no till drill? All of the no till drills that you can rent around here are in bad shape or rented out months in advance. Just wondering how you do it.
I own my notill drill when I sold all my equipment. We invested in a notill drill. If you watch you can pick up a used drill for a good price may need a little work. Not sure where you are in my state Pennsylvania has a reap program that they will pay 50 percent on a new or used drill. Thanks for the questions keep them coming!

Sounds great! Cover crops graze well with extra tonnage.
Awesome Russ…….
Thank You!!
Great video. I just put some winter cover crop down myself. I Need a no till drill.
No Till drill makes things so much faster. Thanks for watching!!
Nice
Thanks
Will you make a video of that field in several weeks so we can see the amount of growth?
I'd love to. I like making videos the viewer want to see. Thanks!!
Got it. It is in the video.
Thanks for watching!!
Are the depth bands self defeating as the disc's wear?
You can get different depth bands. I have drilled a little over 350 acres still haven't wore the discs enough to worry about changing them.
Howdy. Watching from Cremona Alberta. What brand of drill are you using?
Thanks for watching!! I use a truax drill. Thing is built like a tank!!
hey Russ, how comparable is broadcasting ahead of the cows to no till, which do you prefer.

I just bought a no till drill from a local guy.
Figured the thing will only increase in value
Used equipment does increase in value. When we sold most of our farm equipment we got as much as we paid or a little bit more. Thanks for WAtching!
Ground hogs love marshmallows
I tried marshmallows didn't really see a difference. Maybe there are so many one takes over the hole quickly.
