That Regency/ Caravan combo was amazing! The towing package the Regency had definitely helped it survive. Usually towing packages include heavy duty suspension, heavy duty radiator with an oversized cooling system, etc.
Downhill chaos + Endurodrome = Ultimate Destruction Track. A point-to-point time-trial where the bumps are insane and every corner is a hairpin on a huge cliff. Maybe moving obstacles
I dare say Starsky and Hutch's vacation has gone haywire. Now, there is a mod that adds tow truck versions of the D-series, so maybe you can try a car towing next? And top it off with a tow truck + car + caravan train?
I did the same setup with the regency, ruptured the fuel tank on the first lap, made it 6 laps and then the regency died in a glorious blaze of fire. *'Merica*
In MSC the muffler only falls off if you don't tighten both screws, a lot of people think there's only one screw for the muffler when there's actually a second, more hidden one.
perhaps :P either way the rear suspension is getting overhauled, as it's basically a covet rear end and not accurate. Either ETKi rear suspension, or semi trail arms from an automation car would be used in favor of the current parts.
That regency + trailer run has to be tied for first with the regency without the trailer for funniest run in driven to destruction endurodrome. That run had me dying laughing 😂😂🤣🤣
I love the way the regency and caravan death reason is actually haunted caravan. That was one of you best run so far I was incredibly funny to watch keep up the great work
I would like to see the Regency Saloon pull the caravan. Using the Coupe could corrupt the scientific data for two reasons. 1) The Coupe you used was more powerful and 2) The Coupe is shorter than the Saloon.
Quite the impressive performance from the Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight and caravan duo. Though I do believe the Olds should be in 4th place rather than 5th as it made it further than the Hopper (episode 10), which had its steering go out upon landing the big jump on its fifth lap and didn't make it to the gas station chicane like the Olds did here. Also, you have the distance for the Olds listed as 9.2 miles on the leaderboard rather than the 9.6 miles being displayed by the end of its run (not that that really matters given the inherent inaccuracy of the distance counter but just pointing it out).
If you only take one thing away from the regency family, it is that you cannot ever count them out. They all have taken some gruesome damage, and kept going.
I wanna see a regency redo, considering how well it did with a possessed caravan it's gotta be able to rival the mirama when driven with more track knowledge
i kinda liked the first dtd the most... mostly because it really punished a lack of speed. this track really rewards having a slightly damaged car because theres no huge jumps to clear apart from one, and that really doesnt do a whole lot of damage if the car fails it if you do another series of these with a new track, i suggest you take one which a: has the motocross bumps and b: something like radiator springs. maybe like a ski jump or something. because... yeah. just some thoughts. cus i really feel like the caravan was only helping the car in this case Edit: okay didnt watch the run all the way to the end with the whole haunted caravan thing, but apart from that my point still stands.
1. Build reinforced Trophy Truck. 2. Give it a 30HP air cooled engine installed in the pickup bed inside a rollcage. 3. Drive for hours before failure.
Hi failrace Been watching for a couple years now and I just realized that I wasn’t subscribed for some reason 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. Keep up the amazing content!!
Having driven a regency, been in a family that's owned a regency and a regency elite, (One of which was prone to brake failure and the ladder prone to catching fire) and being involved with multiple Oldsmobile products in general, I can assure you, a regency is incredibly hard to kill. Despite all of the smoke and partial fire related incidents, the sudden brake loss incidents, and complete and utter failure due to a faulty MAF sensor blowing the electrical box, the car itself cannot be killed unless you do something extreme like crash it or take it on a destruction circuit. Albeit the Regencies I've had experience with were all 90's model years, but still, damn things are impossible to kill. . . Trust me, after it tried to kill me, I've tried to kill it.
@@SpaceGood. I learned how to drive in a 1992 Oldsmobile Bravada. Most favorite car ever, never let me down, always got me where I needed it to take me all the way until the end when it finally died to rust. Oldsmobiles were truly the best, (Even if some of them tried to kill us lol) and it's a shame that GM killed them off and replaced them with these pre-rusted straight out of the factory pieces of garbage.
if you have them all, when this series is over you should have a video with most of the fail runs, where you lose control and pile into a wall or hit a tree etc, lol
I just had an idea for a stream. What if you ran the Endurodrome with a bunch of vehicles but when they died or gave up you left them on the track as obstacles for the next cars? It would challenge not only endurance but duration of control for the car as well.
I'm going to guess that the first time you swung the trailer through 90 degrees the hitch would have snapped clean off, maybe even taking the rear half of the chassis with it. Anyone old enough to remember American Graffiti ?!
today were back in the usa on a afternoon watching the best tv cop show hutch and stached key as they go camping, and then some lil car trys and fails,

That Regency/ Caravan combo was amazing! The towing package the Regency had definitely helped it survive. Usually towing packages include heavy duty suspension, heavy duty radiator with an oversized cooling system, etc.
As an end-of-the year special you could take the top 3 of every track and see how well they perform compared to each other.
That would be very entertaining to watch!
Ooooh, that sounds great!
Great idea👌
that would be cool
Id still watch that if it was 2 hours
"Haunted Caravan"
Best reason for destruction in a Driven Till Destruction series XD
Please never stop this series Alex, it’s my favorite destruction track that you’ve ever done.
Downhill chaos + Endurodrome = Ultimate Destruction Track.
A point-to-point time-trial where the bumps are insane and every corner is a hairpin on a huge cliff. Maybe moving obstacles
I love how the trailer stays attached even when upside down. Because trailers can totally do that.
It actually happens, mostly happens at demo trailers races
Regency + caravan's failure message on the leaderboard should be Possessed Trailer + Overheating
Edit:
I'm fine with Haunted Caravan
i was hoping it was that or just "caravan" and ppl go huh what? let me check that" and watch this vid and go "nope that's okay"
I dare say Starsky and Hutch's vacation has gone haywire. Now, there is a mod that adds tow truck versions of the D-series, so maybe you can try a car towing next? And top it off with a tow truck + car + caravan train?

That’s Starsky and Hutch engineering for you
I may need to call inaccuracy on that Satsuma mod, as you drove over the first bump and the muffler didn't fall off. (This is a joke)
Won't be a joke for much longer :D

You shoulda gone with the true-to-life, beater version of this Satsuma! Complete with all the lovely rust!

Wow that regency has got to have one of the most 70s paint jobs I've ever seen

Congratulations Alex, you managed to find a way to kill the BeamNG caravan toilet. Most impressive...
You know it's gonna be good when the car isn't even moving and it's creating smoke
Hey at least you've still got the toilet! That's the most important part. Haha.
After living in a caravan for 4 months, I'm happy to see one destroyed
Look up Top Gear destroying caravans on here 👌🏻
How long did you end up staying in that caravan for?
Reverse entry a corner with a caravan attached? Now thats unheard of!
This is the Top Gear year they should’ve done with the Caravans
(Referencing the episode where Jeremy and James race to the caravan park)
o yes
