I'm definitely an old soul I knew it as a child. I felt different than other kids my interests were much different than other kids around me. My thinking was completely different very old fashioned very old school. As I grew up I still felt like I didn't fit in and I still do. I feel the same, I feel tension on the thread that leads back to the beginning of existence, Im left handed, I have a negative blood type, and I’m tired. I feel my service is reaching the end of its purpose and I’m finally being retired. I feel this life is the 1 that my mind, body, and soul finally found balance and the universe is thanking me for the contributions my journey made.
I don't think it is that simple. It feels like we need to become one with the universe and to understand the Universe is chaos because this is what brings development. So gratitude no because it just is. Love yes but love that comes from 100% understanding. Prayer is just asking the source (group of everyone and all energies) for help in moving past a problem but with true understanding then we are not automatically given everything. We must let our kids fall in order for them to learn how to walk. Granted I struggle with these my self.
I have a hard time finding real friends. I try but people always have a one sided view on things in life and seem to get angry with me when I tell the the world is complicated and the truth is almost always somewhere in the middle. Why people love extremes is beyond me. That said I have always viewed my self as a young soul because I have a hard time with the lesson to not care and the world will continue to be complicated and messed up, long after I am gone. One day I will learn this lesson but it is such a hard one.

These are more experienced souls, they are 1% of the population, their most important feature is culture and morality because they know that these values lead to the Creator, which is their most important goal. They will never do you harm of their own free will. They know God's laws very well and they know from your past your future. They communicate in their thoughts with the guardian of the soul when they are alone before sleep and early in the morning. The laws of nature are revealed to them. An 'old soul' is generally not an ADVANCED soul. In the 'school of life' an 'old soul' would be a laggard at learning their lessons. An ADVANCED soul would be in some kind of selfless service , based on spiritual love and wisdom orientation, in this world.
That's not accurate. The moniker "Old Soul' is used for an Advanced Soul. A soul stuck trying to learn a lesson, over and over again, would not exhibit the seven characteristics mentioned here. By default, an Old Soul is more advanced than a newer soul.
